Been here?
Campsite on the fjord, largely occupied by permanent caravans, with about 12 camper pitches and views that vary by location. Sanitary facilities are clean and heated, while showers cost extra; washing machines, a dryer, kitchen, playground and trampoline are available. Boats can be rented for fishing, and a restaurant sits directly by the water. The site is usually quiet, although the restaurant can remain noisy on weekends.

It’s not a small camping, mostly for permanent caravans, not every spot for a van has a good view, it can be an umown grass between the cabins. It is crowded, with two toilets and showers/gender, showers paid by card at the machine on the corridor. In the evening toilets were clean, in the morning, especially male - not at all! There’s no possibility to rent a boat without booking loooong before.
The location is really beautiful, but be careful: not all pitches have the lovely views shown in the pictures! Parts of the site seem somewhat neglected, with bulky waste accumulating in several places. The sanitary facilities were very clean! The dryer and washing machine only run for two hours, which is not enough for the programmes, so we had to start the dryer three times.
Beautifully located site; the sanitary facilities are quite good by Norwegian standards.
Beautifully located. Friendly operator. Sanitary facilities okay and clean. Good boats for hire and fairly good fishing among the skerries. Excellent restaurant right on the water. It can get a little noisy there at weekends, though, as it also serves as a bar and meeting place.
Wonderful place with a full view of the fjord! The sanitary facilities are beautiful, clean and pleasantly heated. We stayed here for two lovely days.
Very nicely located site! Very friendly owner. We were even able to choose our pitch :) It’s a shame that, at 390 NOK, showers still cost extra.
Beautiful campsite with a nice restaurant.
Very nice campsite. There aren’t many pitches, but they are very well positioned. Mostly gravel. The earlier you arrive, the better the location. Electricity is available directly at the pitch. We also fished and caught mackerel. The two men’s and two women’s showers were sufficient and clean. Payment had to be made by credit or debit card.
Really great place. Very quiet location. Extremely helpful and friendly owners. Sanitary facilities clean and practical. No possibility to empty grey water.
The campsite is in a beautiful setting. It is mostly occupied by permanent campers and laid out in terraces. Twelve pitches for motorhomes can be rented. They are in the front row by the lake. A boat for fishing can be rented. Calling ahead is recommended. Good value for money.
The campsite is full of built-in caravans and bungalow-style caravans, which we like less. There is room for 12 motorhomes between them. Two toilets and two showers, at extra cost, new and very clean. It’s great that you can rent a boat for fishing or fish on the little island.
The campsite is beautifully nestled in nature. Pitches are spread around the site with views of the water. The sanitary facilities are new and clean. Boats can be rented. Great view from the terrace; water, electricity and everything else are available. A great place to unwind. I cannot understand the negative reviews.
We are here for the second time and reserved our pitch in advance. We cannot understand the negative reviews. Finding such a great place in the middle of nowhere is worth its weight in gold. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating, and yes, there are many permanent campers. Washing machine, dryer and shower can be paid for by debit card, so no problem. Boating, fishing, sunshine, nature and lovely people—what more could I want?
Absolutely unbelievable. Full of permanent campers. We arrived and still found a nice pitch. Suddenly the owner came and said it had already been reserved. She showed us another pitch, which was absolutely unattractive. All the nicest pitches were supposedly taken, although they were empty and there were no signs anywhere. We left again.
We had three days of good weather, but that was about all. An untidy campsite with a kitchen that was far too small and prices that were far too high. Showers and toilets were clean, but everything costs extra. The rubbish containers and bins were overflowing, and the public swimming and barbecue area was run-down. The motorhome pitches were completely unacceptable; the operators’ friendliness cannot make up for that.
The price per night is now 375 NOK. Electricity 75 NOK. per day. Several people write how good it is here, we don't quite have the same opinion. You shouldn't choose pitches 5-6-7. No view and you pay the same price as those with a wooden terrace and panoramic view. We never found grey water.
Absolutely fantastic place! Very nice and helpful people who are happy to assist. The restaurant with its dreamlike view serves excellent food! Pitches by the sea. Swimming spots, excellent fishing, boat rental, a snack restaurant and a very good restaurant all on site! The sanitary facilities are very clean.
Very nice owner with a friendly welcome. The campsite is beautifully nestled in nature. Pitches are spread around the site with views of the water; otherwise, there are many permanent campers. The site has a restaurant and kiosk. The sanitary facilities are new and clean. Boats can be rented. Quiet, sparsely populated surroundings.
Super beautiful site with great facilities, a nice snack bar and friendly operator! It’s a shame there is only one set of sanitary facilities on the grounds, but it is manageable. One star deducted: in the rain, the camping area turns into a swamp, with ankle-deep standing water that does not drain. Not a problem for us because we were in a roof tent, but good to know for those camping without one!
We asked whether we could use the washing machine for a fee. The staff asked the campsite owner, who said it was only possible for camping guests. Very disappointing. The staff were very friendly, though.
Nice campsite with everything you need. Clean sanitary facilities; showers cost extra (15 kr). Nice snack bar with tasty small meals, though it is not always open. Pitches are fairly close together on the rocks, but there is a beautiful view of the water. Washing machine and dryer cost extra (50 kr each). Fresh water available. Friendly staff, though not always on site.
A very beautiful site. We reserved by email and the owner welcomed us very warmly and showed us our pitch right by the sea. Everything was available as described, and it was very well maintained and clean. We can highly recommend this place; it is best to reserve in advance. Thank you, we enjoyed it very much.
Basically a well-maintained site with everything you need. However, we found the reception and instructions really poor. The receptionist took our payment, showed us the pitch and simply left. Questions were apparently unwelcome. The sanitary facilities are very well maintained. Paying for the showers by credit card takes some getting used to. And the number of mosquitoes and flies was very unpleasant!
We were there from 29 May to 1 June and it was fantastic!!! Paul has created a gem there. Pitches 11 or 12 are highly recommended, with a wooden terrace and a direct view of the fjord. A boat can easily be rented without a licence. Showers cost 5 NOK for 5 minutes and can be paid for by card; they are very clean and everything is provided. Be sure to eat at his restaurant!!! Top quality and wonderful combinations of dishes.
A fantastic campsite with a great restaurant! The food was amazing. Showers and toilets were spotlessly clean. Showers cost 15 NOK for 5 minutes. We were next to the restaurant, right by the water. Highly recommended!
Magnificent! The pitches on the terraces are fantastic. The sanitary facilities are impeccable and the restaurant is quite incredible—not only worth seeing for the décor, but also for the food. A beautiful place for fishing and relaxing. We were there for two nights and stayed for five. Very warm welcome from Paul.
a must stop for the restaurant! very unique experience in such a random location. With an African decoration and tasty food recipes from around the world, the lovely owners made this place a surprising stop for us! (check opening time especially in off season where I think it's only open on the weekend)
Quiet site with mostly permanent campers and around six motorhome pitches by the water. Sanitary facilities are very clean and new. Showers are paid for by credit card; a washing machine and dryer are also available. Small kitchen with sink. One star deducted because the wooden terraces belonging to each motorhome pitch urgently need replacing. Some are already very rotten and boards have broken.
One of the best campsites of our trip through Norway. Although there are many permanent campers, most of the motorhome pitches are very nice, with direct views of the fjord. Great for fishing from the shore or a boat. Excellent boats can be rented by the day or week. We would gladly return.
