A small, free picnic and overnight area near Bauska Castle and the town centre. It has electricity, a swimming area, barbecue facilities, bins, benches and a children’s playground, but the dry toilet is currently in poor condition and may be unusable. The gravel parking area suits cars and 2 motorhomes, while larger vehicles can continue towards the river. Nights are sometimes disturbed by loud music from local cars.

Place is nice, but there was loud music from locals' cars all night so we had to leave in the night. We drove a little bit down towards the river and this was an amazing place.
Lovely place to stay and felt very safe. Thank you to the Council for providing the facilities free of charge. Note the WC is not in good condition and couldn’t be used. Apart from that, close to the castle that is worth a visit and shops in town centre. CCTV has now been installed which seemed to deter people gathering at night, well done for installing this.
Super peaceful felt too good to be true!! On a November weekday so very quiet and had free electric hookup near enterance!!

A very beautiful place to spend the night, with electricity available on site. The parking area is also suitable for a larger motorhome.
Free parking space with a view of the castle! Toilet, rubbish bins, coffee machine, benches and tables, small playground… Clean, quiet, peaceful, and only a few steps from the river. The castle is a few minutes away, as is the small town centre. Recommended.
Very lovingly designed and clean place, but unfortunately a few teenagers came at night and played loud music in their cars.

This was a nice place to stay. There were some people playing loud music from their cars late evening but they went home before we went to bed.
This is a picnic area where overnight stays are also allowed. There is a gravel area where cars and two motorhomes can park. You can also drive past it on the right and park down by the river. Locals come by car throughout the day and take a break here. At weekends, teenagers come here and sometimes have parties, since that is also what this picnic area is intended for.
A good place to spend the night, beautiful and tidy, with a public toilet, recreation area, and outdoor fireplace. The parking area is rather small.
We only looked at the place. It has electricity and a dry toilet, and there is also a rubbish container. A lot of EU funding seems to have been invested, as there is also a top-quality barbecue area and playground equipment. Actually a very beautiful location overlooking the river and castle. Unfortunately, there were many kids around; it seems to be a popular meeting and swimming spot for local young people.

Nice but busy and noisy place with great view of the castle and river. Great for short stay and rest. Eating or coffee break.
Nice parking for a stop or lunch break with children's playground and great river view. Not suitable for comfortable night stay as it's quite busy by locals. We stopped on Katolu iela which is very quiet.
