Lakeside parking, noise and compact vans

Free parking, nighttime lighting. We spent a quiet and safe night there with the very kind permission of the Peshkatari restaurant, where we ate well. The beginning of the evening was a little lively because it was Friday, but the atmosphere was family-friendly. With earplugs, we managed the road noise.

This is not a place for 7-meter campers. Only very compact vans can fit here.

There was a lot going on until 11:30 p.m., including people knocking on our window. After that it was quiet, and the police patrolled the street back and forth all night, which made us feel safe. A woman begs here with her daughter. Unfortunately, she is very ungrateful; I gave her some money and something nice for her daughter, but she only wanted more.

Do not park your motorhome here as it will get vandalized as ours did and a neighboring motorhome too and it done around 9pm. They kicked the vans and broke off several trims and snapped off my radio aerial. It used to be my favourite place in Albania but I shall never park there again.

Quiet at night. Do not go on weekends. We were there on Friday night, and by 9 a.m. on Saturday the parking lot was full. Albanians come to park here, and one scratched our motorhome while leaving its parking space. I complained, but it seemed to think it was my fault.

One night in this parking area. Felt safe compared with other places. Bright lighting. Café bar next door. Walk.

Quite lively in the evening because there are several restaurants nearby, so customers park here. In the end, from 11 p.m. onward there was no noise at all—absolute peace until around 7 a.m., despite the nearby road. Magnificent view of the lake and mountains. Brand-new cycle path to reach Shkodër.

Excellent parking area. Very clean and well laid out, with bins in the parking lot. We slept very well despite being close to the road.

Parking in a city. Quite popular place with locals, even on winter, rainy, cloudy day - there were a lot of people. All restaurants are open too. A lot of movement, but the place, the lake, the mountains are really beautiful. Pelicans look especially nice. ATM charges 10eur fee, there might be a better one in less touristy place.

Perfect, we spent one night. We felt safe. Lighting all night. Small shop and restaurant next door. Cash machine as well. We saw pelicans on the lake when we woke up.
