Aux Priolées, 38680, Pont-en-Royans
Been here?
Beautiful riverside motorhome area near Pont-en-Royans with well-delimited separate plots and electricity included (€12–15 per night). Swimming reservoir nearby, picnic tables available. Fresh water is not currently available, and sanitary facilities are out of service. Maintenance issues include high grass and occasional cleanliness problems. Quiet overnight; short walk to pretty village.

It is a shame that the area is not well maintained: excrement, toilet paper, tall grass. Otherwise, the pitches are well marked. We should have stayed in the mountain passes because the heat here is oppressive. The village is in a hollow.
Beautiful location with separate pitches, electricity and shade at a swimming area by the river (reservoir). Disadvantages: grey-water emptying is outside the site and there is absolutely no water!! You cannot even rinse the toilet cassette. Actually a disgrace for the site operator. With a water supply, we would gladly give 4 or 5 stars and pay more than €14.30 per night. Very disappointing.
Magnificent place to spend the night. Facing a water feature, with a small bench and ducks. Really superb!! Indeed, the toilet facilities are out of order, and behind them... well, there is wild toileting... but it is far from the pitches and out of sight, so it is not bothersome at all. Honestly, for €12, it is worth it!!
Because there was no space in town, we came here to have a quieter day. Unfortunately, it was not very clean that day (bags of rubbish everywhere, excrement on one pitch...). Fortunately, the town centre is easily accessible.
Very quiet night beside the river. Large, fairly flat pitch, separated by a hedge from the pitches on either side. Electricity included in the price. Water costs extra: €1 for 120 litres, with grey-water and toilet emptying available.
Beautiful pitch bordered by hedges. €15 for one motorhome and three people with electricity. To our great surprise, water is charged separately at the exit. Toilets closed. No bin. What a shame, because there is a magnificent view of the river and a walk to the nearby village.
This is a disgrace. You first pay for the pitch and your water, €15, before driving onto the motorhome area, only to discover afterwards that no water is available and the toilets and showers are simply closed. Worst of all, when you look behind the toilet building, you see excrement and toilet paper lying on the ground. Remove this motorhome area.
I don't know why people moan, it's in a superb location, great views, very quiet and private pitches, there are picnic tables and chairs to use. Electric included. Superb stop, will be bk. it's a shame other vans won't pay and park at the entrance and on the street next to the site.
Very quiet and idyllic pitch beside the river. Picnic benches on the bank. A short walk to the charming village. My only concern is that the site is not maintained sufficiently and will soon become overgrown.
Beautiful place with a lovely view over the water, electricity included in the price. Unfortunately, it looks somewhat neglected; it needs substantial pruning, and there is no way to dispose of rubbish, not even a dog-poo bag.
Excellent view, swimming possible, picnic table, shaded pitch between hedges and trees, numerous benches and only a few minutes from the village centre. However, there are no bins on site and access to drinking water should be improved.
This site is in a very beautiful location and is also well maintained. On the day we were there, a man even came with a lawnmower and mowed everything. The electricity worked normally, as did the wastewater disposal—everything worked wonderfully. All excellent!!!
The location is perfect, water €2; the first euro gave nothing, electricity works. Thanks to the municipality for this place.
The only nice thing here is the location by the river! Otherwise, it is a neglected site: hedges are overgrown and some electricity pedestals do not look very trustworthy! For emptying, only grey water is possible—no fresh water and no toilet rinse water! Too expensive for that! They seem to live only for the high season! If CCP had this site, it would certainly be maintained and highly functional! We drove on (4 May).
The site must once have been very beautiful, but it has become somewhat run-down. It clearly lacks maintenance. The hedges dividing the pitches need a professional trim, as does the grass. No toilet, shower or rubbish disposal. No water at the chemical-toilet emptying point. In my view, an overpriced divided car park.
Small, clearly marked pitch. Two steps from the village. Negative point: no rubbish container. water filling service not working.
A beautiful pitch directly on the river. I paid €13.66 for one person. Electricity is automatically included. I spent two peaceful nights here. Very good mobile reception. One point deducted because there are no rubbish bins.
Water tap working, €1.
Beautiful location, easy to reach and tidy. Water was still shut off at the end of March. Contactless payment works best. Nice walks in the area. Bakery in the village.
I don't understand the preceding negative comments. The electrical connection works correctly, and both the access and pitches are perfectly clean. It is true that the fresh-water supply is out of order, but there is a sign on the payment terminal warning of this. 5G connection is available (I am using it right now), and both the view and the surroundings are spectacular.
No services, water out of order! The area is not maintained, with a carpet of autumn leaves on the pitches! Piles of wood, etc. No terrestrial reception as stated. A shame, because it is a very beautiful and quiet place.
The barrier has been repaired, and the payment terminal works perfectly (we paid €14.32 instead of the previously indicated €11). There is electricity, but the one drawback not mentioned during payment is that there is no water (terminal out of service). I therefore find the value for money dreadful. What a shame—we will spend only one night instead of the few days we had planned.
Today, 15 January, it is still impossible to enter the area. The municipality is doing nothing. There are two motorhomes parked right in front of the entrance. There is otherwise no way to get water. No effort from the municipality, which is a shame because the pitches are nice, right in front of the river.
Water out of service, and the motorhome area inaccessible. I called assistance, who told me they could do nothing... I went elsewhere! What a shame.
Indeed, a very beautiful area beside the water. We visited at the beginning of December; it was not maintained during this period, and rain and leaves turned the paths into a quagmire. What a shame. The walk along the water to the village is magnificent, as is the medieval village. Many shops and two car garages, but for food there is only a Vival shop, which apparently is about to close and is no longer well stocked.
Really nice area. We visited Choranche Cave, about 15 minutes away by motorhome, then spent the night here and walked to the village with its hanging houses. €11.60 per night with electricity on 24/10/25, plus €1 for water. Grey- and black-water emptying: free.
Superb area beside the lake, with a lovely walking route into the town centre. Paid parking with electricity at €11.60 inside, with the option of paying an additional €1 for fresh water. Grey- and black-water emptying free. Two or three free spaces in front of the campsite barrier. No maximum height.
Great spot, but impossible to get in, with the code and contactless payment. What a shame; needs looking at, thanks.
Flat, clean pitches, well separated by hedges, beside the water. Very pretty village, good for one night... no toilets. Thanks to the municipality.
Very good area beside the water with all services and less than a 10-minute walk from the village. Each pitch is spacious, well separated by hedges, and has a 16A electrical connection. What more could you ask for at €11 per 24 hours? For rubbish, you have to go back to the main road; I did not find a nearby container.
Well located for visiting the town along the water. The pitches are spacious enough and everything was clean when we were there on 5 and 6 September. There is nothing else to do except see the hanging houses and walk to the waterfalls.
Thank you to the municipality for this area. We are returning for the second time. Perhaps we were lucky, but the terminal worked properly and we were able to get water. Easy access to the magnificent village. People may make unpleasant comments, but for €10 we find this area pleasant, shaded and maintained.
An area that turns into a swamp on rainy days. Many badly placed trees. Service terminal out of order... in short, it lacks maintenance. Fellow motorhome owner, I recommend that for an extra €4 and 700 metres away, you go to Camping des Seraines, where you will find proper parking with all amenities and, to top it off, a warm welcome.
An area that deserves credit for existing. Pleasant view over the water, close to town attractions. Negatives: no water, bins or toilets, and very noisy during the day because it is close to the road, but quiet at night. Very good for a stopover and if you have dogs.
Pleasant and quiet motorhome area. Thanks to the municipality.
On 27 August 2025, the sanitary facilities were locked. At the barrier, we needed about 15 attempts with three different cards before contactless payment worked. The exit worked well by entering the code on the ticket. The pitches are level and separated. Electricity worked without problems. We could not find a toilet in the cemetery. In the middle of town there is a dirty public toilet.
The water service was not working. The toilet splashed: be careful! There used to be a ping-pong table, but it is no longer there. Dog mess everywhere. The village is worth visiting: it is very beautiful. But the area has deteriorated a lot.
Well-located area, close to the town (10 minutes on foot) and beside the Borne. But it is dirty and smells. No sanitary facilities, no toilets.
We slept one night and it was great. The place is very beautiful, with a lake next to it where you can walk to the village. There are no toilets and not all pitches have electricity.
The drinking-water service does not work at 35 degrees in the shade.
Quiet spot on the river, fairly cool during the August heat, with electricity and drainage for €11. One kilometre on foot from the wonderful houses suspended over the river in the town centre. The access system is automated and temperamental.
A great site directly beside a very beautiful village. You can swim there and simply unwind. The site itself is too expensive for the services offered. You may need patience with the machine, but that is certainly no reason to give it one star. There are no toilets, and the water did not work for us.
Convenient for visiting the village. Expensive for the services offered and the cleanliness of the place.
