Peaceful and with beautiful views. I recommend it.
This family-run site is located a little off the standard tourist routes. Caravans and tents are welcome here too. The very friendly and helpful owners are devoted to the place and do everything they can to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Shops and the sea are easily reachable by bicycle. Water and waste services cost €5.
A little complicated to access because the water had washed part of the road away after the floods, but we made it through with our vehicle and trailer. You will find the very friendly owner there; it is a very peaceful place to rest, with walks for those who enjoy hiking.
A wonderful place to stay. Do not expect five-star facilities, but they are not needed when you have peace, beautiful surroundings and shops that are easily reachable by bicycle. We are here for the second time and will certainly return for a few more days this year.
Great place to stay. People who write somewhat negative reviews probably have not realised that this is a motorhome site and not a five-star campsite where everything can be criticised.
A peaceful place. I loved it. Super friendly people. Clean and surrounded by nature, with a wonderful restaurant. They even repaired a cable that broke for me and, as they say, whatever we need, we only have to ask if something is needed or breaks. I will definitely return. And on top of that, you can reach the beach in no time by bicycle. Beach, mountains and tranquillity all together.
The site is perfect for resting and doing some hiking routes in the surrounding area. The pitches are spacious and have everything you need to relax and enjoy yourself. José, the owner, treats you like family, and his wife cooks wonderfully—the food is delicious. Their restaurant is at the same location. They have a lovely project; congratulations!
I have been staying at this site for several days, and it is perfect despite the dreadful weather. At the moment, the access route is still impassable, but the owner is doing everything possible to restore access as soon as possible. The site is not isolated, since Gualchos can be reached via the mountains. No problem by mountain bike. I do not understand the reviews that criticise the site when everything is available on site, even when you are stuck. I will return at the next opportunity.
Very nice, simple site with everything you need. We stayed for four days because the road had been washed away. The operators then prepared a delicious dinner for about 30 stranded people (€10 per person), so it was a lovely evening. The road was restored and we were able to continue our journey. We would return to this site at any time.
A beautiful place, except when the rain arrives. One rainy day, the river and the ford crossing to reach the campsite turned into a torrent. We were stuck for two days, with the road along the river having fallen into the river. As soon as it was repaired (if you can call it repaired), we decided to leave this place.
José and his wife are absolutely fantastic. Welcoming and helpful. The setting is magnificent, and the prices are beyond reproach. Since leaving France, we have not found anything cheaper with so many services. We shared an evening organised by José, his wife and a very friendly young waiter yesterday evening. As soon as we return from Portugal, we will come back. I recommend that all motorhome owners stop here.
Motorhome site with everything you could want; the final stretch of the road there is quite exciting. We had a delicious meal at the restaurant on Sunday. The restaurant is like the site—basic, but nothing is a problem. We had a pleasant chat afterwards with José, “no problemo”, and the waiter, who spoke good English.
Great site at very fair prices. The whole place operates on trust and the owner is absolutely friendly. Everything is available and practical. We stayed there for three days and would return. The only drawback is that the surroundings outside the site are, like much of the region, not particularly beautiful.
We always feel very comfortable here and will return. Every camper has their own needs and expectations. Look at the site and decide for yourself whether it suits you. Accusing others of having their reviews paid for is cheeky. Nature without bustle or stress; shops 5 km away. Fresh organic vegetables. The baker comes every day except Sunday. Thank you to the campsite owner.
We felt very comfortable here, with great conversations and many like-minded people! The owner is a fine fellow; if something is wrong, you can speak to him before leaving a bad review, but that is how uptight campers are. Access was easy with a 13-ton expedition vehicle! Fresh organic vegetables for little money, and everything you need is available!
Good and adequate for one night. You are safe and have a truly beautiful view of the mountains! Unfortunately, the showers were unusable for us with children: either the water was ice-cold or far too hot, and the sink water was also ice-cold. The approach is exciting; the road up to the turn-off is narrow. The access road to the site is unpaved, very steep and narrow.
We think the site is more suitable for smaller campers, as the pitches are quite narrow and short. The water and waste facilities are practically designed. Access is challenging because it is narrow and steep. The restaurant is closed on Mondays. Presumably, many of the five-star reviews were written as a favour!!
We always feel comfortable and welcome here. Josè does everything possible to keep his guests happy. The food is delicious and plentiful. We will be back.
Nice little parking area. Be careful in rainy weather: it gets steep and you have to cross a ford. Hot showers. Restaurant with homemade paella. Good for one or two nights.
A peaceful oasis away from the hustle and bustle. Very spacious site with everything you need: shower, toilets, and a washing machine with dryer. The restaurant food is inexpensive and good, and at José’s you can even buy 1 kilo of avocados for €4. We really enjoyed it and will gladly come back. Thank you very much, José.
Absolutely lovely site. Extremely friendly and helpful operators who also run the restaurant and bar. Both are highly recommended!!! We will come back here.
This was our fourth time here and we enjoyed it immensely again. Everything you need is available (electricity, showers, toilet, washing machine, dryer, etc.), and there is a bar above the site for a cool drink. By bike, you can reach the beach in 10 minutes. Thank you, José—we will gladly come back!
Great time with the friendly owner, we could buy his olive oil and fruit. The parking area is excellent.
We had a delicious meal in the restaurant today. Very friendly owners. We stayed at the motorhome site run by the same owners as the restaurant. Definitely worth it.
Highly recommended. We stayed here for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. You receive such a warm welcome. There is peace and space, and you can take beautiful walks. The owners also have a restaurant. Truly authentic, just as welcoming, with delicious food. Much of it comes from their own garden. The dishes are so pure and a feast for your taste buds. Vegetarians are also very well catered for.
We have been here six times now, in a motorhome with a trailer, about 11 m in total length. The approach is straightforward if you turn toward Rubite / Lujar at the petrol station. After about 4 km, turn left over the bridge and follow the signs. Liner models such as Morelo and Concord have also parked here. Satnavs often direct you along the worse route, but that one also gets you to the destination.
Beware of large motorhomes: there is a narrow, rough section of road. I stopped there, looked around, and left again. Austere.
Wonderful area with all amenities, very quiet and clean. Very friendly owner; I recommend it.
We had a very quiet night here with a friendly host. Language barriers are no problem thanks to translation apps. The sanitary facilities are basic but sufficient.
Wonderful! Simple and without frills, but with genuine hospitality. Delicious Spanish dishes that shine in their simplicity, prepared with super-fresh ingredients. If you like luxury, this is not the place for you, but peace, relaxation, and Spanish hospitality are more than present here. There is even a baker who brightens up the morning with incredibly fresh, tasty bread!! Many thanks for the wonderful stay.
What a lovely place. Beautiful surroundings and excellent facilities. Thank you for your hospitality, Jose. See you soon.
One of those places that makes you feel at home. The owners, José and Yolanda, of course, treat you as if they had known you all your life. It happened to be my wife's birthday, and on the morning of her birthday José and all the campers brought a cake and sang Happy Birthday. What a day we had. A very, very highly recommended place. Anyone who leaves bad reviews for these people is lying.
We spent 4 nights in this PARADISE. It is a spectacular place. José and his wife Yolanda, the owners, treated us as if we were at home; they are incredibly attentive. Everything was very clean, including the bathrooms, showers, and pitches. I don't understand how anyone could give these lovely people a bad review; there are always bad people in the world. We will return. Thank you for everything; we carry you in our hearts.
The particularly good reviews were why we came here. When we arrived, there was only one motorhome on the site, which was already strange, but after a lap of the site it was clear that nobody stays long here. The shower and dishwashing sink were a disaster. So one week became one night. Strange where all the five-star reviews come from—perhaps magic? Let those who think ill think ill.
Very beautiful and pleasant place. The facilities are well maintained. Good service from the owner. And very good prices. Totally recommended.
A very good and peaceful area where you sleep extremely well. The owner waits for you to explain everything. The bathrooms and sinks need a little maintenance, but they are not bad. Electrical outlets on every pitch. High-season price: €12 without electricity. The entrance is no problem for motorhomes, although there is a good hill.
A good place to spend one night. Very good service and a very friendly owner. Very good price.
The owner is extremely friendly, and the facilities are quite good and clean. Upstairs there is a restaurant with good, inexpensive, high-quality food and beautiful mountain views. If you pass through the area, stopping here is a must.
We spent two nights sleeping in the van. The atmosphere is very peaceful, and both the pitches and the bathrooms and shower were clean. Jose, the owner, is very pleasant.
Three unforgettable nights at Viña Castilla, warmly welcomed by Yolanda and José. Homemade paella, deliciously prepared by his wife, and cherry tomatoes and peppers as a welcome gift. Less than 5 minutes from the beach, yet here there is peace, shade, a bar, a restaurant…and above all, Andalusian spirit! Much better and more comfortable than the crowded coastal campsites. We will definitely return to see you again.
I love it! A simple and welcoming place where everything works on trust, whether it is the €1 hot shower or the various vegetables, also costing €1 for 1, 2, or 4 depending on the type. Magnificent roses and very clean sanitary facilities. What more could you ask for from a €10 pitch without electricity?
