Both roads can clearly be heard at night too, but it is fine for one night. We were the only guests and were given the quieter, shaded spot at the back. We were self-sufficient, so we did not use any services. The friendly owner gave us useful tips for the old town, restaurants and rubbish disposal. We tried and bought some products, so the parking fee was waived.
Clean toilet, close to town, but the road noise is a little annoying. The view shown in the pictures is around the corner, not directly from the vehicle, with the main road in between. Fine for one night. The owner is very nice and accommodating; he even gave us a place next to the toilet and hosted us on a public holiday.
There was a friendly welcome. Eguisheim is easily reachable on foot. We had one of the few shaded pitches. Electricity and toilet cost extra, so €21 per night is very expensive. There are no showers. During the day it is very noisy because of the busy road; at night it was manageable.
Road noise was far too much. Walking distance to village. 12 euro a night. Photos are misleading as can't see main thro road to Eguisheim running straight past.
Beautiful place if you have all the facilities you need yourself. Within walking distance of Eguisheim, an atmospheric wine village with many restaurants.
M. PelEefBob, your review does not correspond to the truth: - you received one sheet of paper, with practical and tourist information on the back and instructions on the front so that everyone could enjoy a pleasant stay. - you were parked as shown in the first two photos above, with a view of vineyards and castles. - regarding the tasting, read the testimonials from other people. The rest is stated in the listing.
Had an OK night. Pros: close distance to Eguisheim and free drinking water. Cons: nearby road and views on the storage/factory. We did not try the wine because we think there are nicer places to have a tasting. We were not charmed by the 2 papers of house rules, a paid toilet, there is no shower. You are not surrounded bij vines, its not the idyllic vinyard experience you might be hoping for.
Nice parking area on the outskirts of Eguisheim; the beautiful old town is just a 10-minute walk away. Not a "wow" spot with an amazing view, but perfectly fine for one or two nights. We could also use a small toilet because we don't have one in our camper. Very friendly and uncomplicated operator. Many thanks!
Convenient for visiting the town, only five minutes by bike from the historic centre. Free water for filling the tank. Noisy during the day, but traffic calms down at night until 7 a.m.
Friendly welcome (German is also spoken), delicious wine tasting, proper pitches at the edge of the village. Thank you!
A lovely couple of days here. Friendly hosts and great location - 15 minute walk to beautiful Eguisheim (Timothy's Mircobrewery is brilliant)! and 20 minute bike ride to Colmar. Slept well both nights, road isn't that busy even in the day. Costs €24 / no electric. Discount if you buy 6 or 12 bottles of wine. Wine from about €8 up. Thoroughly recommend - would definitely return! Thank you Robert
Friendly welcome in an inner courtyard of the estate; you can connect to electricity and fill up with water, and their wines are excellent. Thank you.
Very warm welcome, arrived without a reservation, €12 per night without electricity. Very good for visiting the village, one kilometre on foot. I recommend it.
Great parking area for exploring the region. Hardly any cars at night. Easier for self-sufficient motorhomes.
Very good place to stay near Colmar. Strategic location between several villages worth visiting. Stabilised parking area with electricity, and Robert is very kind; on top of that, you can buy very good wine with excellent advice. We recommend this place.
Very warm welcome and excellent wines. Very convenient for visiting the town and the Christmas market (a few minutes' walk).
Beautiful place for visiting Eguisheim. Warm welcome. We would gladly return.
Space in the winery's parking area; very friendly and helpful owners! The wine they produce is excellent too.
We came across this place by chance and were delighted! It is perfectly located, with a toilet on site. Despite the adjacent road, it is surprisingly quiet. The operator is incredibly friendly and speaks perfect German. The pitch costs €12 per night, but it is free if you buy six bottles of wine. The wine tasting is also highly recommended.
Simple private parking area directly on the main road. Electricity can only be used to a limited extent, no showers, but a small toilet is available. No services on site, only externally. Usable for one night, but not an official campsite. Overall rather makeshift.
Very friendly welcome and good wine. Eguisheim is worth seeing. About 15 minutes by bike to Colmar. Traffic is somewhat disturbing. Therefore 4 stars.
We stayed here for one night, check-in was easy and quick. The parking space is right next to a smaller road, which is quite noisy, but did indeed die down for the night. More cars started coming in around 7am, but we still got a decent night’s sleep until then. Overall I would recommend this place. I think it would be a nice addition to add a shower, which guests could use.
Very friendly reception, with information provided in Spanish. We only used the pitch for €12; although there are no services, the price is reasonable compared with other prices in the area. The road is very noisy during the day and very quiet at night. Eguisheim, one kilometre away, is very beautiful. Some pitches are shaded and awnings are allowed. I arrived with doubts, but I would return and recommend it.
Mr Poigfrr, thank you for reminding the community what time you were welcomed; it was SATURDAY EVENING, shortly before 8 p.m. Your comment about the "price" is really inappropriate.
Partly recommendable considering the high prices. This has already been commented on several times below. But there are hardly any alternatives. South of Eguisheim there is a car park for €4 per 24 hours, right next to the town centre—possibly an alternative for discreet campervans. Otherwise, Dietrich is very friendly and gives good tips for the surrounding area. We are grateful for that :) You don't have to buy any wine either.
The pitch at Robert’s winery is beautifully located for exploring Eguisheim. Not all pitches have the same great view, and the road is indeed somewhat noisy. Good wines at fair prices.
Really friendly welcome; the town can be reached on foot and is well worth seeing. The only drawback is the proximity to the road and the traffic noise. Otherwise highly recommended. The wines are delicious.
Friendly owner, wine available for purchase, water, toilet and electricity on request and for a fee. Accepts caravans at €12 + €6 per day.
