Been here?
Camping Brunner am See is a quiet, centrally located campsite with direct access to the lake and a children’s play area. It has clean sanitary facilities, a sunbathing lawn, and a supermarket next door, with walking and cycling routes nearby. Pitches are relatively small and have little planted separation, so privacy can be limited; the playground requires crossing a road. A reported ACSI price was 27€ for 1 night, plus about 10€ in taxes.

We stayed here for three days and are delighted. Very friendly welcome, excellent service, spacious and clean sanitary facilities, and direct access to the lake. The quiet yet central location is also a plus; we cycled around the lake twice. We would come back!
We stayed for four nights in the low season. The location with direct access to the lake is fantastic, the washroom is good, and there is a supermarket next door. The welcome was very friendly. We went on lovely hikes and bike rides directly from there. Slight deductions because there was hardly any separation between pitches (fortunately, we had nice neighbours), little shade, the reservation fee, and additional costs. We would come back.
Good and fresh campsite. With ACSI it cost €27 for one night, but then about €10 in various taxes was added, good to know. Accessible for people with disabilities.
Great campsite. Families can enjoy coming here. The adventure playground is great; unfortunately, you have to cross a road. There is no ice cream before May 1! The toilets are nice and clean. The lake is beautiful. L., 9 years old. I think the campsite is super cool; it is almost the best I have ever seen. The adventure playground is also very cool; it is really great here. O., 6 years old
Pitches are lined up next to one another with narrow access lanes, so there is relatively little privacy. Having a pitch overlooking a broken fence also does nothing for your well-being. The €12 reservation fee is steep too. The swimming beach is nicely laid out, and the sanitary building is clean and well designed.
Beautiful site directly on the lake. The sanitary facilities are not the newest (but not really old either), and always clean. Pitches are marked off, but not divided by planting. Relatively expensive at €70 per night for two people and a motorhome at the end of August. Overall, it has a very profit-oriented approach. Everyone has to decide for themselves...
Positive: beautiful sanitary facilities, beach, and sunbathing lawn. Less positive: halfway through the morning we wanted to extend our stay, but before we had the chance to go to reception, a woman from the Brunner team approached us at our pitch in a very unfriendly manner. We still had two hours before checkout. It could have been handled differently. €9.90 in additional costs on top of the ACSI €27. No shade and no separated pitches.
Very nice site with everything you need, direct access to the lake, sanitary facilities new and always clean, little shade. Negative: SUP use for two hours is charged like a full day, at €30. That is unacceptable, hence one point less.
Positive: private lake access, children’s playground (rather small), sunbathing lawn, pedal go-karts for children, clean sanitary facilities. Negative: small pitches, quite expensive (€120 in high season for two adults and three children), football pitch/pedal go-karts outside the campsite; you have to cross a road—few cars, but they often drive quite fast.
We stayed for one week on pitch 172, in the first row with a direct view of the lake, right beside the playground. We can confirm the many good reviews! Among other things, it is worth mentioning the Postbus app, which can be used to book taxis cheaply for hikes. If you want to learn surfing or sailing, it is best to paddle by SUP for 10–15 minutes to Sporting Blue at Parkbad Döbriach on the other side of the bay.
Beautiful by the lake. Spacious and clean sanitary facilities. Everyone is lined up next to one another, though, so there are no separated pitches.
Beautiful campsite with direct access to the lake. Everything is very clean and well maintained. Nice staff. Fully equipped sanitary building including three washing machines and three dryers. The campsite’s own pedal go-karts were a highlight for the children. Just a little too little shade. €76 in high season for two adults and two children, one of whom was free.
Nice, family-friendly campsite with access to the lake, a playground, and an indoor play area for the children. Leisure activities such as pony riding are also available.
At the beginning of July 2025, my husband and I stayed on pitch 12 for 10 days. The pitch was very well equipped, with 16A electricity, water, wastewater, and satellite connections. The paths to the lake and sanitary facilities are manageable at around 300 m. Particularly positive: there are washing machines and dryers, as well as a dishwasher that can be used for only €1 per cycle—very practical!
Beautifully located, quite expensive; there are excellent pitches and areas that are not worth the money. Book early and get lucky. You can take lovely bike tours around the lake.
The most comfortable sanitary facilities we have seen in a long time! Beautiful pitches, friendly staff, and the lake directly at the campsite! Highly recommended!
Very beautiful site with a sunbathing lawn directly on the lake. We would gladly come back.
We got pitch 210 again—this view is unbeatable! You can take a boat trip across the lake next door, the cycle route along the lakeshore is great, and there is also a bus around the lake. The food at Restaurant Messner by the lido was again a poem! It is also fun to cruise across the lake in the campsite’s own rowing boat. Lake Millstatt is simply beautiful, and the campsite is a gem!
Super beautiful campsite, directly on the lake! Great views of the mountains! Sanitary facilities state-of-the-art and everything very clean! We paid €36.50 in May for two people and a camper. Thank you for the warm welcome!
Beautiful view of the lake, clean sanitary facilities, excellent pitches, friendly welcome at reception.
Very nice site directly on the lake. Very friendly welcome. Excellent grounds, very nice and clean sanitary facilities. Waste disposal directly at the exit on the other side. Pitch 210 was superbly located directly on the lake. Prices including electricity, etc. were reasonable and okay. We paid just under €42 for two people. We would gladly come here again. Reservation and pitch selection can also be done quickly online.
A great campsite directly on the lake. The sanitary facilities were very clean and the staff very friendly! We were there over Easter. It was very quiet and pleasant at that time. We even received an Easter basket for our motorhome. We highly recommend staying here!
Very beautiful site directly on the lake. Everything really beautiful and clean. The operators are very friendly.
Stunning lake view, electricity included in the price (€35.80 for one night), clean and warm bathrooms. The water at the pitch was shut off, but it is still possible to fill up near reception. Dogs are not allowed, although I secretly brought mine because it was low season and the campsite was empty.
Amazing location, facilities and services - would definitely recommend. Toilets and showers were sparkling clean and warm during winter! Easy check-in process that can be done online. Access to lovely bathrooms and warm showers, black and grey water even this late in the year. Very kind staff.
Very beautifully located campsite directly on the lake. We were there in mid-September, when it was very quiet and relaxing. Plenty of sanitary facilities, very clean and heated. There are also many washing-up facilities, also very clean. Four stars because the sanitary facilities are located by reception and are very far from the pitches by the lake.
Dreamily located campsite directly at the eastern end of Lake Millstatt. Very well-maintained site with excellent and always clean sanitary facilities. The chemical toilet disposal station is among the best I have seen so far. We have been happily returning here for many years.
Great campsite with many options: swimming at its own beach, bike rental at Charly’s nearby, rowing boat rental, free use of the infrared cabin, and a programme of activities—we did yoga (Kerstin is truly a wonderful and pleasant instructor!!). The sanitary facilities are very clean and never overcrowded. Everything comes at a price, but we were very satisfied.
Beautiful, quiet site without dogs.
Very beautiful, well-maintained campsite. Pleasantly quiet. Very nice beach. Playground available. Friendly campers whom you quickly get to know. Many excursion possibilities.
