Flat lay-by, overnight road noise

This is a flat hardstanding layby near the road, suitable for 2 or 3 small campers, with a nearby field for dog walking. It has a bin and decent Sky mobile reception, enough for hotspot streaming. Traffic can be surprisingly frequent, with noise through the night, and there is a midden nearby that smells. Overnight stays have been reported without problems.

Great little quiet spot not far from Long Meg and her daughters stone circle, 10 minutes drive up the road. Enough space for 2 or 3 small campers. But we hit the jackpot and no one else was there.
A few cars earlier in the evening, otherwise a lovely quiet place. We got used to the smell of the midden close by!! Revise my previous review written in the evening. A surprising number of cars on this lane. Late in the evening and very early in the morning. And because of the midden, a lot of flies. The only redeeming factor was the lovely birdsong (thrush) at dawn.
Large..ish flat hard standing just off busy road, A66, traffic noise all night might not suit everyone. Big field for dog walking, bin, decent phone reception (Sky mobile) enough to hotspot streaming services Netflix/Amazon. Didn’t check out surrounding areas so can’t comment on any potential facilities.

Great little spot. arrived at 11pm. left at 8am. very quiet spot. a few cars passed at 6am.
Quiet at night, but relatively heavy commuter traffic early in the morning. Not so nice for a longer stay.
Stayed here overnight with no problems, a few fast moving vehicles but back from road, no services.
