Private beach, difficult four-wheel-drive access

The spot and the road to Balos are currently very difficult to access because of the condition of the road (although work seems to be underway). It might be passable with a 4x4, but I turned around with my van.

Great place. We stayed one night, took a trip to Balos beach. And the next day we came back for one more night. There is quite a lot of traffic on the road during the day, but it was quiet at night (November 25). The stall was closed, the lights were on all night.

Really practical as a stop before Balos Beach. Be sure to go into the little shop! The lady is so lovely and has exquisite, inexpensive, homemade Greek products! The little shop alone is worth a visit!

Practical place to be directly on the road to Balos. Lots of traffic (and therefore dust) during the day, but the night was very quiet and problem-free. We had an enormous amount of wind. The little shop next door stays lit, and I recommend visiting it—the owner is very friendly and the products are excellent! Bins nearby.

We spent one night here. The nice honey and olive seller had confirmed beforehand that we could stay overnight without any problems. Super beautiful, right by the water. Direct view to the east, so it is worth getting up early for the sunrise.

Flat area by the small beach. A very friendly local woman sells local products, including some of her own. Wine, olives and other specialties can be tasted.

The only reason we parked here for one night is that it is a good starting point for the trip to the parking lot at Balos beach. We arrived in the dark and set off in the morning. There is a place for about 3 campers. For those who did not find out in advance about the route to the upper parking lot - it is 7.5 km and took 40 minutes on a rocky road!

As described it is great in the off season. We had this beach for our self and our dog loved it. There is a lot of trash and you need to be careful with that but besides that it was awesome to have place for our selves.

No problem finding a place, shade and the sound of the waves. Convenient for setting off on the Balos track the next morning.

Good for one night. The shepherd makes frightening animal cries in the morning and honks incessantly. Whether it was aimed at his sheep or at us—we don’t know :D Directly behind the ticket booth on the way to Balos Beach, so arrive late and leave early.
