Quiet overnight parking beside the Stalag VIIIc museum, with plenty of level space near the building or on the sandy area among trees. Museum toilets are available during opening hours, but there is no facility for emptying or refilling. The location is convenient for visiting the museum and the nearby escape-tunnel site. Despite a road nearby, recent stays were reported as peaceful.

A suitable place for an overnight stay, quiet despite a road nearby
Stayed here overnight very quiet had a fabulous tour of the museum and POW camp..highly recommend.
A very peaceful night spent prior to visiting the brilliant museum. Plenty of level parking either close to the museum building or on the sandy area nearby. Museum accepts Euros if you need to pay for your entry that way. Building opens at 10.00 and we were the only visitors - very friendly welcome and informative briefing.
Perfect for visiting the museum which we did on 14.09. Toilets inside. Didn't stay overnight as we went to the area in the woods near 'Harry' to sleep.
Nice place. It is better to take the second turnoff to the museum and stop in the parking area among the trees. It is quieter there. The museum staff are very kind and helpful.
Loverly quiet park for night next door to a fascinating museum set in the Stalag VIIIc where “The Great Escape” occurred - oh, and the “wooden horse” escape as well!! Short drive to the escape tunnel “Harry”!! Well worth stopping here and being first into this small museum!!
Great location for visiting the museum. Toilets available inside during opening hours. checked with staff and it was OK to stay overnight. Really peaceful night. Bin in carpark. Lots of other parking options in the area if it was busy but this was great for us and we were the only ones there overnight.
We spent the evening/night before our museum visit in the parking area. No problems at all. There is another parking area used by truck drivers. This seemed noisier to us because of the nearby road.
