City parking, break-in reports

We parked here for a few hours to visit the city. It is close to the historic center if you go by bicycle. The city did not impress us. We liked Avignon, Arles, or Montpellier more. We decided not to sleep in Nîmes because, judging by the comments, there are many thefts. In our case, nothing happened.

Having many free parking spaces makes it easy to park a 7.2 m camper van. The arena is 5 minutes away by bicycle. We parked during the day to visit the city. Staying overnight would be possible, but not for us. Be careful when getting out, because traffic flies past on this shortcut!

Good place to stay. However, we were parked between trucks. The city center is easy to reach. We felt safe. Disadvantage: The right-hand lane next to the parking spaces is used as a bypass for the often-congested main road. Cars race past here at very high speed. If you don't pay extremely close attention when getting out of your motorhome, that's it.

Stayed one night and felt perfectly safe. It is exactly what you see in the pictures. McDonalds is a short walk down the road so useful for toilets. Great spot to easily visit the city during the day. No issues overnight.

Excellent place to leave the motorhome for free while exploring the city. About a 30-minute walk to the Colosseum. Safe place; we were not worried about our motorhome.

I didn't sleep here, but during the day it is great! There are many spacious spaces. It is a transit area and seems safe. You have to take a bus to the center, or it is seven minutes by bicycle.

Very good for spending the day in Nîmes. No problems.
