Dam parking, peaceful overnight

Parking for coaches, but until the end of June they only arrive at weekends because guided tours of the dam take place only on weekends. We slept wonderfully in the cool air and without any noise.

Large, spacious gravel parking area. No services, absolute peace and quiet, with no restrictions whatsoever.

Quiet and peaceful, no problems staying overnight. We felt safe. In the morning, visitors to the dam park around the area along with the buses, but we had no problems. A good base for walks and visits to Vajont and Casso. There is phone reception.

Wonderful place, we had a very good experience. Quiet and very spacious. A starting point for excursions to Erto, Casso, the dam and Monte Toc.

We spent one night in this parking area above the Vajont Dam with our campervan: my wife, our 7-year-old daughter, our dog Alvaro and me. We were alone but felt safe. Very quiet place, and after a short walk you reach the dam. If you want to go up to Casso, it takes about twenty minutes uphill with children, but Casso is lovely too.

We spent a very peaceful night here for free. In 10 minutes you can walk down to the dam via a quiet trail, which is silent at night.

Perfect parking area for visiting the dam, with no prohibition signs.

We stayed overnight in complete peace. A good starting point for visiting the dam and the village of Casso.
