Great staff, we came here because the national trust campsite was full and even though they didnt have a camperspot free, we were allowed to camp in the field with the tents. pretty close to the start of scafell pike (20min walk) can be a bit loud and there were lots of campfires at night.✦Translating

Lovely campsite. Reasonably spacious pitches for campervans. Pleasantly busy. The sanitary facilities are mediocre and quickly get dirty given how busy it is. In our opinion, they are not cleaned often enough. There are beautiful walks to the lake and lovely streams. The pub is cozy, but reserve in advance during the holiday season. Recommended.✦Translating

Beautiful, spacious campsite, well maintained, with clean but rather limited facilities. No hot water in the showers after 9 p.m., which became a problem for us. Laundry costs £3, but card payments are only accepted from £5… The view, location and coziness definitely deserve 5/5!✦Translating

Great views and nice green site in general. There was no hot water on the night we stayed and the site can be quite noisy in the evenings and early mornings (there’s no real separation of the different fields). There is a toilet disposal point and it has decent facilities but it’s a bit overpriced (30 GBP without EHU) for the services provided compared to other sites in the Lakes.✦Translating

One night, hard standing pitch with no electric hook up, £22 pn (1 person & 1 dog). Happy with facilities, unexpected chemical toilet dispisal. ✦Translating

A really excellent site. Family and dog friendly, wardens were super helpful making suggestions for alternative walks when Scafell Pike was a no-go due to weather. Superb, rural location, but still with sufficient amenities not to feel too remote. Pitches were spacious and site information was well laid out and useful.✦Translating
