Excellent for one or more days by the sea. Pitches on grass with all services. It is directly opposite the sea, but the sea cannot be seen. You have to cross the road and climb over a pile of rocks, but the beach is enormous and very beautiful. Always a little windy. Separate areas for people with dogs.✦Translating

A campsite directly on the road, without shelter from hedges or walls, no different from the stopping areas where truck drivers sleep. It is really close to the beach, but you have to cross the busy road. It does not provide the intimacy and privacy one looks for in a campsite.✦Translating

Large camping field also available for campers. Separate pitches with electrical hookups (electricity costs extra). Showers and toilets are clean. just spent 3 nights here, good location for the beach, opersiite the site, bar on site, reasonably priced, they serve hot food, plus a little convenience shop, not much else in the area so bring everything with you. site so busy, toilet block couldn't cope. queuing every morning 6 to 8 deep. so so glad we are self-sufficient. staff tried to keep it clean but far too busy to cope.

Great spot on a great location. Didn't book and was able to stay for the night 10pppn, £2 for the dog. Dog free and dog friendly area. Great facilities from free cold showers to hot showers 20p per min. Pizza van and bar . Massive beach dog loved it . Amazing sunsets .

Good campsite a few metres from the beach. You can set up wherever you like. Paid hot showers, bathrooms not always clean. Water and waste facilities and rubbish bins available. There is also a truck that makes excellent pizzas. Good campsite. Cost: £25 per night for two adults and one child, without electricity. Small shop for firewood.✦Translating

Great location next to the beach and coastal path but facilities were quite run down and when it got busy they couldn’t keep up. The showers were really weak and kept cycling between hot and cold and the toilets and sinks blocked a few times during our stay. They really packed people in making it hard to even walk across the site, and there wasn’t hot water to wash up.

Smashing campsite within a stone’s throw of the most beautiful beach. Excellent staff, very clean facilities and good prices - I paid a tenner a night for my motorhome and I.

Lovely campsite with great facilities. £1 to shower for 10 minutes, cheap to stay, free cold shower and washing up facilities. Surf board rental. Helpful staff. 1 minute walk to the beach across the road.

Looking very tired! Facilities are ok but in need of a renovation. Showers are paid and take £1 and 20p is bring change (which we didn’t). The beach is just a quick walk over the road and is a lovely beach with good surfing or just swimming.

We stayed 2 nts Fri Sat in Aug fairly full low amount of mhomes mostly camping and smaller camper vans. I felt it was quite well organised, report to reception then shown to a pitch area non ehu. Drive over grey. Pt sheltered by pebble bank which protects and obstructs sea. 2km of tide out sandy beach. £20 pn for 2 in mhome non ehu. You need to be tolerant of people during school holidays

Great location, flat pitch, lovely pizza and good beer from the brewery trailer. Would be 5 but have to pay for showers. Good spot for surfing too!

We were turned away at 20:55, saying last guests at 20:30 a pathetic excuse about disturbing other guests when everyone was milling around. Bad reflection on hospitality. We moved to nearby car park. Nice beach.

Went there as the wild camping spots in the area are sparse. Lovely little campsite right on a stunning beach. At £10/night for a grass pitch in mid-July, it’s a steal. Icing on the cake: checkin was open until 10pm the night we arrived. Has all the basic amenities you want, inc. hot showers and washing machines (showers are 20p/2 mins). The sandy beach is super safe for kids and has lifeguards.

Please note : the duke of edinburgh pub next door to the camp site is currently closed following a fire earlier in the year. not sure if and when it may be open again.
