Camping Grohnder Fährhaus

Beautifully located on the Weser. Our pitch was level and needed no adjustment. Very friendly staff. Excellent sanitary facilities. Great restaurant on site. The only disadvantage is the lack of water supply directly at the pitch. Nevertheless, highly recommended overall!!

Beautiful site directly on the Weser. Be careful: the Weser Cycle Path runs directly in front of the motorhome, and some cyclists cannot ride!!!! Easy check-in, friendly staff, very clean sanitary area, bread roll service available, and the restaurant next door is delicious.

Top pitch, with luck directly on the Weser. In high season (April–October), currently €29. Low season €20, but without sanitary facilities—only a washing-up station and washing machine. Showers and toilets are available in high season. At the start, you load €5–50 of electricity onto the parking card. Any unused electricity is deducted from the pitch fee at the end. Super nice, helpful staff.

It was our first time at a campsite, and the welcome was so friendly that we immediately felt at home! The washroom is modern, practical and very clean! We booked breakfast at the hotel next door the evening before, at €14.50 per person. We can recommend that too. We would gladly come back!

Nice spots along the river. Good, but pricey, restaurant. 28 euro for our van, 1 adult and 1 child. You still have to pay for filling up with water, ridiculous. While we were filling up a very agitated lady asked why we filled up before registering. Although we already did. Staff in the restaurant and hotel were friendly though. And last but not least, a ‘beautiful’ view on a nuclear power plant.

I am a little torn about this place. The sanitary facilities are really excellent and spotlessly clean even when fully occupied. All the staff are very friendly. You can cycle the Weser Cycle Path very well. However, only a very few pitches have a view of the Weser. Most are on a gravel lot/car park behind the hotel. Water costs extra and is difficult to fill using a canister.

Great site. Attention: The ferry from Grohnde to Grohnder Fährhaus runs only very infrequently.

Perfect location with excellent facilities. The Weser Cycle Path runs through the campsite. Magnificently beautiful and clean sanitary facilities. You can eat very well at the adjacent guesthouse. We paid €25 per night for the campsite (camper van and two people), plus electricity according to usage.

A first-class campsite! Well organised, with friendly staff everywhere! We ate well at the Fährhaus and used the sauna at the hotel! We would return to this site at any time!

The sanitary facilities are truly first-rate. We got a front-row pitch high above the Weser, with a magnificent view and a lovely large pitch. Everything is there, everything is excellent. Very friendly and attentive service at the inn—exactly how it should be. Envious looks from cyclists on the Weser Cycle Path, which runs through the site—a minor drawback, but absolutely fine. We stayed one night and would gladly return.

We stayed on the Weser pitches and had a great view of the river. The sanitary facilities are fairly new and very clean. There is a bread roll service; alternatively, you can join the hotel’s rich and excellent breakfast buffet for €12.50. We really liked the site and will certainly come back.

Unfortunately, the motorhome harbour was completely occupied by a company with caravans, and the service column was covered. We drove on.

Excellent pitch/campsite. Simple arrival and departure in the winter season, very uncomplicated. We have rarely seen such a clean sanitary building. Bread roll service available, and the staff in the inn are super friendly. We would gladly come back.

Excellent pitch/campsite! You will probably only need to use the actual motorhome harbour when the site is fully booked. There are still enough “regular” pitches available. The one-star review from April 2022 must refer to another site—where would lorries be constantly driving past here?
