33 Rue de Verdun, 45500, Gien
Been here?
A small, quiet car park beside a cemetery and water tower, suitable only as an emergency stop for one night. Recent visitors found it calm, with clean accessible toilets, although there is some morning traffic to the cemetery and the ground is slightly sloped. Access is via a narrow road where motorhomes over 3,5 t are forbidden.

A short overnight stop. Quiet parking next to the Water Tower. A big plus: clean, accessible toilets.
Access prohibited for motorhomes over 3.5 tonnes!!!! Narrow road, do not go there!!!
Passing through, we spent a quiet night there. I don’t think it is suitable for motorhomes: there are few designated spaces and many people park there to go to the cemetery. The next day we saw another parking area with more than twenty spaces on the other side of the cemetery, on Rue des Briqueteries, next to the Water Tower. It is more suitable and set back from the road, but much easier to access.
The place is calm and quiet. We slept one night and I felt very safe. In the morning there was some car traffic going to the cemetery, but very little. I recommend this place!
Very good for one night. Passing through Gien, we had a lovely dinner at a great little restaurant in the evening (L’Antre Amis) and went to the cinema, arriving as a family at around 10:30 p.m. A quiet, very peaceful night because it is away from the road. The spaces are slightly sloped, but it wasn’t a problem because we couldn’t be bothered to put the levelling blocks out at that hour.
Very good for parking during the day and visiting the city centre. Thank you.
I completely agree. Afterwards, people wonder why restrictions are introduced. If you are short of €2, stay at home.
