Mountain parking, overnight tolerated

The car park is currently being renovated, but we were still able to spend the night there. At the moment there are no toilets.

According to the park ranger, one night is tolerated under the bivouac rule. Rubbish must be taken away, and there are two portable toilets. Fantastic views and several hiking routes are possible. Not all pitches were level.

We agree with the previous descriptions. Wooden tables available. Marmots. Beautiful flowers. Unobstructed view of the Écrins.

The parking area is indeed sloped, but very convenient for setting off directly on a hike in the morning. It can be full during the day. The composting toilets are still available. However, we had no 4G network.

Everything has been said. Parking area with a beautiful view and two toilets, good for setting off towards the Pain de Sucre or elsewhere. Quiet at night except for people arriving at 4 a.m. to watch the sunrise at the top of the Pain de Sucre. Very busy during the day, so try not to spread out too much.

Very beautiful views of the mountains! Very busy during the day but quiet at night. Little traffic after 10 p.m. The parking area is sloped, so bring levelling blocks. Many wonderful hiking trails start from the parking area! A lovely place to spend the night. Beautiful sunset over the Écrins!

We crossed the mountain pass late and saw there were some campers and cars here, and decided to spend the night too. It was very quiet and not crowded at all. 8°C outside and a bit foggy, but it was okay inside the van. The ground is not leveled in all places, make sure to find a good spot. Amazing place to spend the night for free.

Very beautiful place; we are going to spend the night here. It is 19 September, and it is cool but not cold.
