Riverside parking, highway access blocked

Beautiful free motorhome area. By the water. The motorway is above us, but you can hardly hear it because the sound of the water drowns it out. I uploaded a photo of the motorhome area from Google Maps.✦Translating

The address leads to a private house, with no pitch visible. Reussstrasse ended at a sign saying: “Through traffic only for passenger cars.” A shame… How do you reach the place with a motorhome?✦Translating

Beautiful gravel parking area, fantastic view, directly beside the river. It was relatively quiet, with many walkers and dogs. Four stars only because the place does have one or two potholes.✦Translating

We had everything: the view and the peace. Flat parking area beside the river. Lunch break and a completely relaxing nap. Really very good. Perfect for the night.✦Translating

Perfect for one night while passing through. No services, but a level place and a rubbish bin for small amounts of waste. Many walkers in the evening, then you are alone. We had an extremely quiet night despite the motorway. Wonderful view of the village, church and mountains. The bakery in the village on the opposite side of the river opens early in the morning—perfect.✦Translating

A fine place to spend the night. More motorhomes could fit, but the parking area is also used by local residents. It is mainly gravel, with some grass. There is a motorway behind it. A concrete-panel wall and some trees stand between the site and the motorway. In front of you is a large river and a truly picturesque view of the village. The water almost, but not quite, drowns out the traffic. The road continues a little further.✦Translating

Impossible to access the road; they installed bollards, so access is only possible on foot :(✦Translating

Great for an overnight stop! Nice view. Surprisingly quiet despite being close to the motorway! Not a place to linger, just to recover from a long drive. Many walkers with dogs in the morning, but it helps you get back on the road quickly :)✦Translating

Completely fine for one night. A parking area directly beside the river. Be careful: because the site is right next to the motorway, Google Maps thinks you don’t need to exit. Set a landmark beforehand so you definitely leave the motorway.✦Translating

Parked up at 10pm, only one car and a caravan here. Big level area, good space for my 7m MH, no services. On the river which is noisy and motorway behind but all seems ok for one night. I would use again if I was passing.

Google Maps gives the wrong address. The parking area is beside a bridge connecting the town of Altdorf with the village of Attinghausen.✦Translating
