This large, flat riverside field beside an abandoned graffiti-covered structure is quiet and suitable for overnight stays. Benches, a toilet and a cold shower are available, while local fishermen and police have caused no problems. Use the tarmac road left of the dyke; the grassy riverside track is unsuitable for heavy vehicles. There is little shade, mosquitoes, nearby nighttime factory noise and a risk of rising water in bad weather.

Quiet afternoon and night, didn’t see anyone. Ideal with my dog at this time of year. The only risk with the current bad weather is rising water levels.
We had a very quiet night. Apart from a fox, nobody came by. We were not right down by the water, but up by the benches. I can genuinely recommend this place, at least in the low season.
It is true. Large flat field by beautiful river, toilet and cold shower. No issue with locals or police. Keep to tarmac road to left of dyke and turn into area further down the road, track on river side of dyke is grass and not good for heavy vehicles. Thank you, people of Zupanja :))
Good and quiet place not far from the border. In summer, without shade, it gets very hot quickly in the morning, hence only 4/5 stars. Be careful with Google Maps navigation: there are two roads along the river, and one of them is farther away.
We spent the night on the vacant lot between the graffiti-covered hut and the long pipe. It’s really pleasant. A few mosquitoes in the evening and the factory next door works through the night, but it isn’t excessively noisy. We had no problems with locals or police. Ideal for one night.
