Camping Hohes Elbufer

Actually a lovely site, if it weren’t for the supervisors. You feel more like you’re in an allotment association. As soon as you enter, a self-appointed policeman in dungarees points out the speed limit. I thought he was the site manager, but he was just a grumpy permanent camper. A real holiday feeling from the very beginning. The site manager also takes some getting used to.

Very quiet campsite. We arrived fairly late. Unfortunately, the pitches for short-term campers are at the far end of the sausage-shaped site. Just before our pitch, we were angrily signalled that we were driving too fast. Afterwards, other guests were loudly told “that people here drive too fast on the site after 5 p.m.” Very unpleasant.

Very quiet site. Beautiful location directly on the Elbe. Clean sanitary facilities. We will definitely be back. The booking system, however, is a catastrophe. Site manager Henning is doing his best to manage it.

The site is great! You are also warmly welcomed with a dog. Great view of the Elbe and genuinely nice campers on the permanent pitches.

Simply beautiful! After a phone call, we drove to the campsite and were given a very friendly welcome and an amazing pitch. A very friendly site manager helped us park. Pure nature with a view of the Elbe. Many thanks for the hospitality and the great pitch. We would be happy to come again.

If you are looking for peace and nature, this is the place for you. The site manager is very friendly and helpful, and the sanitary facilities are spotless. The grass pitches are generously sized, well maintained and partly separated by bushes and trees. The Elbe can be seen from almost every pitch. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

Called the campsite and asked about a pitch. The woman said in poor English that booking was via the website. I couldn’t see that it was possible to book, so I went there. The woman at reception said there were no pitches available, even though we could see empty ones. Not particularly pleasant service.

We stayed here for two nights with a motorhome. Super nice campers, sanitary facilities good and clean, very idyllic and quiet, right on the Elbe. We would be happy to come back!

We were there at 5:30 p.m., but unfortunately nobody was there anymore. In the window was a barcode saying: “Book here immediately online at any time.” Online it showed that everything was fully booked, but several pitches were free. What a shame—it looked nice, but nothing worked.

This place shouln’t have a star at all. We was at place early but had to wait until 15.00, only to hear that we wasn’t welcome. We have a mobilecar, are 65+ but it was only reservated places they told us. This was a wednesday in the beginning june and when we waited for opening after lunch we recognised and saw a lot of places.
