5/5 campsite! The pitches are pleasantly spacious, the area is really beautiful, the toilets and showers are clean, the washing-up area is clean and pleasant, and the owners are friendly. A short distance to Lake Altaussee and the village. The price for two people and a campervan was €41 per night!
Magnificent campsite in an idyllic setting! We were able to walk around the lake right next to it, an 8 km walk that is well worth it. The facilities are in perfect condition; there is only one washing machine and a clothesline for drying.
We loved this site. Great views all around. Friendly welcome from the hosts. Very peaceful. Really nice vibe. Good size pitches, spotless facilities and everything you could want on site. Short walk to beautiful lake for swim and a nice café. Lovely bakery/deli in the town. We paid €45 per night, no extras apart from the bakery items we had delivered. Highly recommend.
Quiet campsite without children's attractions. Dogs are prohibited. Lots of hikers and climbers. Peaceful and clean in the evening. Visited August 2025.
A beautiful place in a dreamlike region. Why I am still giving only 3 stars: if, in addition to the normal costs, I have to pay a “waste fee” and a “pitch fee,” and all of it only in cash, I think, okay, the operator benefits from it, as well as from the €6 daily tourist tax. But I am rather skeptical about whether the money ends up where it is supposed to.
Great campsite, very quiet. Excellent views. 20 minutes on foot to the lake. Bread-roll service. Good sanitary facilities. We will definitely come again.
41 euro for 2 persons w/o services. Bathrooms are clean and spacious. We came during the lunch break, but it was no problem for the man that checked us in. You can only pay by cash, cash machine is in the city and there is also a shop that serves as self-service on Sundays.
The best campsite of our holiday in Austria. Absolutely top services, beautifully clean, wonderful views. We fully recommend it.
We arrived during the lunch break, so the lady did not want to show us a place and told us to look around ourselves. When we made the round, we were told that we were “causing trouble—why are you driving around here?” We left immediately. The site seemed very quiet and orderly, and families were definitely not welcome here. Very unpleasant encounter.
Very nice pitch. €45 for two adults and a campervan plus electricity. Extremely clean sanitary facilities. Very pleasant little villages nearby!
It was a very pleasant stay. The campsite feels well maintained and loved. The sanitary facilities were in excellent condition, though there was a little waiting during busy periods. A 10-minute walk to the lake. We really enjoyed it here :)
Wonderful campsite in a quiet valley surrounded by mountains. The campsite offers everything you need and more: breakfast service (bread, milk, butter), vegetables and more. The toilets and showers are limited but always clean and tidy. Friendly and helpful staff. Cash only (€39 for two people, a car, and a small tent). Lake Altaussee is a 15-minute walk away.
We found the last available space at the end of the day. Very beautiful, with lovely views. The price for two adults, two children, and a camper without electricity was €51.
Beautiful and well-maintained mini campsite. Wonderful view. Pitches are not completely level. Polite but cordial welcome. Clean sanitary facilities. + No dogs allowed. 700 m from the lake.
No dogs allowed. Unfriendly lady at reception. The location looks beautiful, but unfortunately we had to find another place at 9 p.m.
Wonderful!! We didn't want to leave. For the pitch, two people, and a car in which we also slept, they charged €39. Top service—hot water, plenty of toilets and showers, a place to wash dishes, laundry drying facilities, and a washing machine. Pleasant staff who advised us on everything. Quiet in the evening and morning; until 8 o'clock, not a sound could be heard. We recommend it 300%!
Magnificent site! Beautiful nature and superb scenery all around, including lovely villages such as Bad Aussee. We no longer wanted to leave. Bread and croissants are available in the morning. A few local products. Warm welcome. Very clean, modern sanitary facilities. Lake 20 minutes away for swimming. Many cycling routes are accessible: lakes, peaks, etc.
Very beautiful and extremely quiet place. Pleasant atmosphere with the owners in the farmhouse right next door. The only nuisance is the smoke from the house's chimney on the pitch. Fresh bread rolls can be ordered in the evening for the next morning. Modern, clean washing and shower rooms.
Very warm welcome. Location amid the mountains, peaceful setting. Clean, modern sanitary facilities. Proper showers like at home.
One of the best campsites i’ve ever been to. Awesome location, silent at night, MUST do the walk around the lake. Good price for its comforts.
We would love to have stayed longer if we had had the time. Really great place, amazing landscape, lots to explore nearby, and no smells from farms or anything else. The campsite is not too big, creating a nice atmosphere. The toilets and showers are new—the best ones we have had on our trip. Hope to come back someday.
Friendly welcome, beautiful and peaceful location and surroundings, very clean sanitary facilities and showers. If there were one criticism, it would be the number of showers (4), but we waited a little and it was not a problem. A washing machine is available, but as it rained during our stay, a tumble dryer would have been welcome. We stayed for 2 nights.
Very nice camping place with big comfortable pitches, and lots of green area. It is also well located - about 2 km away from the lake (30 minutes by foot without rushing). For hikers there is a Tressenstein mountain very close with a stunning View. Reasonably well accessible by bicycle too (although you need to take a climb to get back). Fresh bakery goods are delivered daily. Cash only!
We stayed here with our motorhome for 8 days because we liked it so much. We had reserved 4 nights. Very peaceful. The owners are very friendly. €45 per night including electricity. Great location with a fantastic panorama. Paved motorhome and caravan pitches. Unfortunately, there are only 4 showers and 4 toilets. When the site is full, you have to accept a short wait. This was never a problem for us.
Lovely campsite! We paid 39€ for a small tent car and two persons. We came without reservation.
Very peaceful campsite and location, very clean bathrooms, very spacious grass and gravel pitches. Without a doubt one of the best I have seen, with very pleasant service.
Superb setting, but BE CAREFUL: this campsite does not accept dogs! I was settled in and was asked to leave because I had a small female dog. What a shame.
