Campeggio Bocca di Cecina

I stayed for only one night with my van. Small but adequate pitch and very close to the sea, very friendly staff, many services, reasonably clean toilets equipped with hot water, soap and toilet paper. The site is very large; it takes at least 10 minutes to walk to the entrance. The downside was the evening with a DJ on the beach until 1:00 a.m.; the sound made the van vibrate.

A very standard pitch. According to the website, it came with a shaded structure, but ours didn’t. So it was a pitch in the sun at the front. Every day at 9:30 in the morning, a “good morning” message over the campsite PA system, which was very annoying with a small child. From 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., noise is prohibited during the campsite’s siesta hours. The camper service area is in poor condition.

We had booked a great standard campsite pitch. It is in the front area of the site. However, it is too far from the beach, bar and shop. A second beach access is missing for the front area. The camper toilet cleaning was available only once, not as usual somewhere near the sanitary facilities, but at the entrance by the parking spaces, and this corner was rather carelessly arranged.

We stayed for 4 hours and left again immediately. Continuous rain, and the site was a mud pit. The sanitary facilities in the beach area are clearly showing their age, as is the playground. Play equipment was rusty and rubbish was lying around. The beach was full of algae. The pool was closed. Many buildings around the supermarket and restaurant were vacant. For us as a family, not a place to stay, unfortunately.

Very extensive site with various pitches, some of them quite tight. The sanitary facilities in the beach area are old and in great need of renovation. Cleanliness could also be better. At €19 plus €1.50 tourist tax per person through ACSI, it is still acceptable. Despite the site being open all year, everything was still very sleepy and untidy. The restaurant was the highlight of the site. Exceptional value for money.

Really beautiful campsite! We stayed for a week, paying €19 per day for the pitch with an ACSI card. Very close to the sea, with a lovely beach. Inside the campsite there is a well-stocked mini market, bar and restaurant. Cecina centre is a 15-minute walk away. We will definitely return!

Excellent, and historic as well. I was told it was one of the first campsites opened by people like us. Be careful: if you use Google Maps, you’ll end up in front of a tunnel under the railway that is 3 metres high. I used Sygic, which knows my camper’s dimensions, and it took me to another tunnel one kilometre north with much greater clearance. Fair prices, excellent service.

Very nice campsite, friendly and helpful staff. Clean and well-maintained bathrooms. Very quiet in low season, but there are still many long-term residents, so the atmosphere remains pleasant. Recommended!

We stayed for 4 nights over New Year’s, using it as a base to visit nearby Tuscan cities. Quiet and clean campsite. The bathrooms were warm and clean, and there are also several playgrounds where we let the children play.

Excellent campsite, large and spacious. Good sanitary facilities; they could be a little cleaner, but they work very well. The showers are hot. The restaurant is excellent and the staff extremely friendly. Leaving through the gate to the sea, you are directly on the beach and 15 minutes from Marina di Cecina.

Disappointing experience. We entered the campsite around 11:00 p.m. without clear information about the rules or prices. In the morning we were told that everything was booked and we had to leave. Despite this, we were charged €50 in the off-season, without electricity. We expected more transparency.

Very large and well-maintained site. We managed to get a pitch over New Year’s without a reservation. Lucky us. Sanitary facilities clean and well maintained. The restaurant and bar were open over the holidays. Everything you need was available. Direct beach access. Around the corner by the harbour there is a very good fish restaurant. The little town is a 15-minute walk away. TOP and recommended.

A very nice site with various areas; in the low or shoulder season you can always find a place. The restaurant and shop are also open in the low season. The sanitary facilities are very clean and are cleaned at least twice a day even during the quiet period. The staff are very friendly and helpful—simply good service and a place to feel comfortable.

We were there for one night at the end of October and had no problem finding a pitch. The site was very clean. The sanitary facilities are a little dated but very clean. The restaurant is highly recommended! Very satisfactory value for money. For 2 people and a dog, including electricity, €27.50. The campsite’s private beach section was beautiful. We were very satisfied!

We were there in January and it was beautiful. The restaurant was open with delicious food. There is a shop on site. Access from the campsite to the beach. The showers and toilets are a little outdated but clean and warm. With the CC discount, €19 and everything included. Dog-friendly place. We recommend it!

Enjoyed our stay and swimming. We were 2 minutes from beach, although some pitches are much further away. Enjoyed very good restaurant with reasonable prices. Good mini market. Washing block old fashioned but clean. Particularly enjoyed beach bar at sunset.

Once we had found our way around (three-part site!), it was a really lovely campsite, friendly staff and good restaurant. We’d be happy to come again.

Large site with 3 different zones. The sanitary facilities are old but kept clean. In high season I imagine the whole place would feel very cramped.

Nice campsite, we stayed here for two nights. We would have liked to stay another night, but the current mosquito plague unfortunately made that impossible. Otherwise, we would gladly return.

Stayed at the campsite for one night. We were given a place among all the people who live there (or stay for long periods), so these were not the pitches shown in the photos with hedges between them. You also need to be a good driver for these pitches, and the motorhome must not be too large! The beach is not a pleasant beach for taking a walk either…

Loved it! Ending up staying 11 nights, only €19 a night with ACSI card and we’re over 8m, spacious pitches with 10 amp electric, swimming pool (remember you need a hat in Italy) , short walk to the beach , shop/restaurant/bar etc- so many facilities included. Washing machine only 4€ (tokens from reception). 15 minute walk into town & seafront- cycle/foot path to Lidl/ centre of town. Great place

Very large campsite with every service. From the beach to the exit there is more than a kilometre. Until the end of June, €19 with ACSI. Clean bathrooms, good assistance. Unfortunately, the beach is terrible, though the sea is good. Full of long-term residents, dogs allowed. Nearby town with cycle path, internal market, pizzeria, restaurant, swimming pool and three bars.

Large site. You only wonder what you pay so much for outside the season. We paid €34.10 for one night (vehicle over 7 m, 2 people and 2 dogs). The beach is currently very dirty. The “restaurant” is absolutely not recommended. Showers and toilets were clean, so I can’t understand the negative reviews. Washing for €4 is rather expensive. In summer there is a pool.

Large site, nice staff, fair prices even without ACSI (van, 1 person in March 2025: €15.90), pizza was very good. I didn’t like the beach at all and the neighbouring harbour smelled musty… so only 4 stars.

Very large campsite with several toilet blocks. We were initially assigned a pitch, but we didn’t like it. We found another pitch ourselves and changing was no problem. Sanitary facilities clean. The heated building near the restaurant has small shower doors. Good restaurant. €19 per night with ACSI.

Perhaps the only campsite open in December on the Tuscan coast. We stopped by chance for one night and then stayed longer. Excellent for anyone looking for relaxation. Many long-term residents. Very clean facilities. Restaurant, pizzeria and shop.

Large site next to the harbour. Everything well maintained and clean. We didn’t like the beach in the area at all. The pine forests along the coast are great, perfect for cycling and running. Cecina/Cecina Mare did not convince us. Fine for a stopover. Currently an extreme number of mosquitoes!!
