Actually, at the indicated location there is a campsite on one side and a snack bar with a picnic area and a small car park on the other. I parked in the snack bar’s car park and went to buy a drink. The people are very kind and I slept there without any problem. It is quiet, there is a rubbish bin, and the view of the lake is pleasant, even though you are not right on the shore.
We tried to stay here. Either we didn’t find the right place (which I don’t think is the case), or it really wasn’t very good... A “path” leads to a muddy, dirty patch of ground a few metres from the road, with no access to the lake. Besides, most of the access points all along the lake are not great either: very dirty, inaccessible, or impossible to park properly.
In the end, this was one of the only quiet places in the area, probably with more possibilities for a van. With a 7 m motorhome, we were able to park on the right while going downhill without any problems. Not much traffic on the road above. Lots of stray dogs, friendly with our dog once introductions had been made, but lots of barking at night. Lots of rubbish.
