Calle Santiago, 16623, Castillo de Garcimuñoz
Been here?
A free, very quiet motorhome area at the foot of Castillo de Garcimuñoz, suitable for a short stop beside the castle. Fresh water and grey- and black-water disposal are available, although the service point is on the opposite side of the castle. The maximum stay is 72/96 hours. Chairs, tables, awnings, barbecues and clotheslines are forbidden, and the village has a bar and a daily bakery visit at 11:30.

Very good location for making a stop along the way. There is a bar in the village, and it is very good and reasonably priced. We will come back. Thanks to the people who make places like this possible.
Very quiet place to rest, at the foot of a castle with a lot of history (more than 10 centuries). I recommend the guided tour (Wednesday to Sunday) led by Carlos, who provides very interesting information about the history of the castle over time and in the region. Bar Santos is recommended for eating, and in the town hall square there is a bakery from 11:00 to 11:30 Monday to Friday.
Perfect place to stay for the night in the shadow of the castle. Thank you
Area with all services and safe. Excellent for resting. It only deserves 4 stars because the village is a cemetery; there is nothing there!! Warning to vans: I understand that you do not have a toilet, but when you relieve yourselves, please do not leave tissues lying around as a woman has just done here. Because of you, the local people and police blame us campers!! Thank you.
Very good place, guaranteed rest. With all services. Thanks to the village for providing us with the space and for the friendliness of the people I met. It was a shame that the bar was closed on Mondays, otherwise we could have had a coffee. Ah! Be careful if travelling with dogs, there are many cats in the area.
Very good for one night with a visit to the castle and a little trip to the café afterwards.
The area is on the left side of the castle, right next to the electric vehicle chargers. To use the services, you have to go up the slope on the other side of the castle, just to its right, but today it is closed off with some barriers, so they cannot be used. Even so, it is a perfect area for spending the night, despite the cats and the rooster crowing.
A beautiful free place to park next to a castle - fresh water connection is unusual - lots of cats !! Castle and bar Santos not open on Monday
Pleasant, free and very quiet aire. Water + grey and black water emptying + bin. Very clean. Village of 139 inhabitants. A visit to the very original castle is essential (€4). The baker comes every day at 11:30 to the town hall square. Take note. +++++++
At the foot of the magnificent castle. Thanks to the municipality; the aire is small but the parking area in front of the castle is large. We spent one night: very quiet! We also recommend the village bar, which also cooks good meals! We had a lovely evening there!
Thanks to the municipality for this motorhome aire with all services free of charge. The spaces are flat and fairly tight, but it is possible to park in front of the castle. A very quiet night.
We went to see the castle and stay overnight and visit the village, but unfortunately the castle was closed, so we ate and left. What a shame, because the surroundings looked beautiful. The water and grey-water services work on a slight slope, but everything is free, with no electricity.
Fantastic place. It is very beautiful to arrive and sleep at the foot of the castle. Spaces are somewhat narrow for large vehicles. But there is always the upper open area, which can fit 1,000 vehicles...
A 14 century partially ruined castle. Carlos, the curator, was knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about this historical castle, we learned so much and many of its secrets. Originally we went thinking it would take 40 mins as suggested, but ended up spending 3 hours learning about its history. peaceful night and great facilities..
Perfect, exactly as promised: very peaceful, and the castle is beautiful, unlike anything I have ever seen in a castle. Everything was good from my point of view.
Great parking area at the foot of the castle, several level spots. Didn’t use the services but they looked fine (a bit sloped for emptying though). Quiet for sleeping. From here it’s worth doing the ‘Sendero de las Cuerdas’ trail.
At the foot of the magnificent castle. Thanks to the municipality; the aire is small but the castle parking area is very large.
Very good area at the foot of the castle. There is one section with marked spaces and another nearby dirt area. Emptying and filling service. Bar Santos is very good and worth visiting.
Super-quiet area at the castle entrance. With an emptying and filling area. Small but great. The castle is also worth seeing. Thanks for spaces like this :)
Pleasant place for an overnight stay, with an interesting fortress nearby. But from 5 a.m. the roosters started crowing—very close and loud, every 15 minutes—so it was impossible to get a proper night's sleep.
We stopped to see the castle and were surprised by a very large motorhome area with services, a quiet place. Thanks to the municipalities for creating this area.
It is fine, a quiet place to sleep.
Quiet place on the slopes of the castle, with water services for our motorhome. I recommend it.
Quiet place to spend the night.
Very good place to stop. Close to paths surrounded by nature, and you can watch the sunset. The village bar serves very good tapas! Note that the water tap has a large thread! Thanks to the village for these initiatives. Very nice people ⭐️
Easy access from the A3, spacious and well-maintained area. We did not use the services. We spent a very peaceful night. You can watch the sunrise and sunset. A visit to the castle is highly recommended. Carlos looked after us wonderfully and we learned a lot about the castle's history. Thanks to the village for this area.
A great option for an overnight stop along the way. Pleasant to sleep next to a castle. A very quiet village. Thanks to the town council for thinking of us.
Ideal place for an overnight stay. It has several marked spaces and a very large open area next to them. We spent one night on the way to Valencia and slept without noise; in the morning we emptied and filled the tanks and everything was perfect. It is worth visiting Bar Santos, a 5-minute walk away, and spending a little money in the village. Delicious food, a large terrace and very cheap.
Many thanks to the municipality for providing this place. We cannot understand anyone who complains here. We should all be grateful for places like this. Keep the place clean.
Maybe OK for overnight, but we were only there for filling fresh water and emptying black water. Completely unusable for filling fresh water. The threads did not fit any of our standard adaptors.
A very bad night at the foot of the castle. Packed like sardines into the 5 or 6 designated spaces, and difficult to get out with my 9-metre vehicle. A very, very noisy evening in the building opposite, with a 4x4 repeatedly driving past at high speed. To finish, there were enough cats everywhere under the motorhome to fill a breeding facility, even getting into the engine.
