Unnamed Road, 33480, Sainte-Hélène
Been here?
An uncrowded roadside parking area in a quiet forest beside a lake. A second grass parking area farther along the track is about 10m from the water and is reportedly even quieter. The setting is peaceful and well suited to a night near the lake.

Very quiet and beautiful. Go a little farther for an even quieter spot on grass. (You cannot enter the grounds with a vehicle, but there is parking right next to it, about 10 m from the lake—perfect for one night.)
Very quiet place in the forest beside the pond. Once you arrive at the parking area, we recommend continuing along the track on the right beside the pond; you reach a second grassy parking area farther away. Superb spot in the middle of nature.
Please note: it has recently become forbidden to spend the night here (from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.). This used to be a lovely place, what a shame...
In October. At night, many vehicles drove along the road right beside us. Lots of gunshots from hunters in the morning disturbed our sleep. There is a small lake and a dry toilet; the gate was open.
Very quiet and pleasant place. Vehicles that are not too large (small vans or compact campervans) can continue along the sandy track; there is a place to park near the end of the pond. Bins and picnic tables available.
Quite place nearby a fishing lake. We stayed here for two nights and only a few cars drove by. When the gate is open, you can sit down at the lake. No problems with mosquitos at all.
