Free parking beside the River Boyne. You sleep to the sound of flowing water, on ground well above the river, so there is no risk of flooding. Lovely walking trails, and the dog was delighted. Quiet night despite the nearby road. No shade and no services.
We stayed here for one night. The place is free. Yes, it gets busy in the evening because people come here to walk their dogs, but honestly, this is a public car park without water or electricity, so of course people come and go. It was completely quiet at night; we were the only ones who stayed overnight. Unfortunately, there is no bin here either, so please take your rubbish with you.
There is no longer a barrier and parking is easy.
One night stopover. Lots of dog walkers. Lovely place for a walk along the River Boyne. Short walk into Slane, back across the bridge. Area we pitched up was flat. No amenities.
It is not a quiet place; at night it was bearable, with little disturbance. In the evening and morning there was correspondingly more traffic noise. Nevertheless, we slept there and managed fine. A total of four motorhomes stayed that night!
The night was quiet and traffic noise was negligible. The sound of the Boyne in the background was pleasant.
Located just below road level on a main road, so it is busy with lorries, cars, etc., but it wasn't as noisy as you might expect. Limited number of spaces; it is a busy area for people parking to walk along the riverside. 15-minute walk to Slane village and 30-minute walk to Slane Castle.
Decent stop with no height restriction but road busy with trucks until late at night and from early morning.
We had a super quiet night here, with some other RV's coming in later in the evening. Unfortunately, we could not dine out at the "In & Out", as they were fully booked ...
Stayed here last night. builders fence has now gone. Had a few cars arrive late but no trouble. There are a few walks for your dog, but probably wouldn't stay again. there's nicer places to be had.
There is fencing up now stopping all vehicles parking there. Cars were parked by the side of the road but no room for a motorhome. Do not come or you will be disappointed
