Been here?
Parking near Mugel Park with direct beach access and town within walking distance. Free from October through April; narrow entrance—use the exit to enter. Parking spaces are small and sloped. Quiet overnight spot that fills quickly in spring. Other campers present increase security.

The car park is great. Already quite full in April. The parking spaces really are very narrow. But once you manage to get through the entrance, parking is no problem... Most of the parking spaces are somewhat sloping, however.
Beware of the narrow entrance. Use the exit instead. It is a car park and nothing special, but good for one night: safe, right by the sea, and within walking distance of the town. We slept well there. There were several campers. Great that it is free in the off-season. Parking spaces are fairly small and narrow. Fortunately, in our case it was not full.
Car park open to all motorhomes due to roadworks in the area. I strongly recommend it.
We stayed one night and thought it was great that the car park is so close to Parc du Mugel, the town and the sea. It was also free, at least at the end of March. There were still a handful of other campers staying overnight, which made us feel safer. One point deducted because of the entrance, which is unsuitable for campers—use the exit instead!
Good parking area; be careful about the vehicle length, with chicanes at the entrance. Quiet for the night.
Excellent car park outside the season and free... 10 minutes on foot from the port and 5 minutes from Parc Mugel (toilets and hot showers on 8 March).
Great free place at the moment. We spent two peaceful nights there. It was the weekend and the car park fills up quickly, so try not to take more than one space if possible. As mentioned in previous comments, enter via the exit and, if possible, park at the back on the right, where you cause less obstruction. Note that the last space is also the toilet area for the entire car park...
Useful for spending a quiet night (we came on a Sunday evening). Other motorhomes and vans, which is always reassuring. We got in easily with our motorhome.
Very close to a lovely town with harbour and marina. Plenty of bars and restaurants. Very quiet at night, we slept well and felt safe. Free of charge 1st October to 30th April. Didn't give 5 stars due to badly designed staggered entrance. We saw a car scrape its side when entering. As others have said, use the exit. Thanks to the municipality for providing this parking.
Perfect place for visiting the town or staying overnight in winter. Free, quiet and as others say, go in through the exit and park far right. We stayed 1 night and it was ideal.
Perfect car park for visiting the town, 10 minutes’ walk away. Very narrow entrance; as advised, it is better to enter through the exit. We spent one quiet, noise-free night.
As indicated in previous reviews, access to the car park is via the exit, and it is advisable to park at the back on the right, where the ground is flatter. At this time of year, the car park was almost deserted and we spent two very peaceful nights.
The entrance is extremely awkward; you have to enter through the exit. At this time of year it is free, very convenient for visiting the town and the calanques. No services.
Out of season, no problem entering through the car park exit with a 7.3 m motorhome. Free.
The car park is very large and pleasant at night, but getting through the entrance is impossible; it is very badly designed and barely allows cars through. We and other vans touched the lower part of the van and caused damage, even when entering slowly. In the end, we entered via the exit, which is much wider. Contrary to what some say, it is not only vehicles over 6.40 m that have problems; even 5.40 m vans touch.
Decent spot for one night. 5 min walk to little cove for a swim, 10 mins walk to d part of town - interesting and more attractive than newer part of town - lots of bars and restaurants. View of shipyard not so pretty but interesting to see mega yachts being built. Quite sloping but far corner a bit flatter. 4 vans with us. Quiet. Some cars started arriving to park by 9am (Sunday)
Great proximity to two very beautiful beaches. Free in October and hardly occupied, with plenty of space! However, due to the artificially narrowed entrance, only vans up to a maximum of 6.40 m should be able to enter. A guard was present until 8 p.m.; afterwards, we were alone with two other campers. The access routes are very narrow; in summer, when it is busy, you should think carefully about where to park so that you can get out again. ;-)
A great spot in many ways, five minute walk to nearby coves and felt really safe at night. We managed to get in fine in a 6m van. However, most of the spaces are not flat apart from in the back corner where we stayed but warning, we woke up to ants all over our van so there must be an ants nest. Don’t park in the back corner!
Free parking and overnight stay in March. Very quiet and ideally located for smaller motorhomes visiting the beautiful town.
Close to the town, park and calanques. Very clean in May. Quiet night, no traffic. Paid parking during the day but not at night, from 8 p.m. to 9 a.m.
Large car park; I spent one night in absolute peace. 10 minutes on foot from the town. Free from 30 September to 30 May. However, because of a large chicane, only short vans can access it.
WARNING: There are currently many processionary caterpillars in the town and in the calanques between La Ciotat and Luminy.
Quiet night; the chicane at the entrance is really not great, though a van can get through. Out of season, it is possible to park at the entrance, so you do not have to pass the chicane. Car park slightly sloping but not much. 10 minutes on foot from the port.
Ok Night. Just some kids making noise. In the morning.silence. You can park in front of the entrance. So no need to pass the really bad barrier. Police also came by no problem. Since October free parking. Close to beaches!
