Point Road / B202, BT49 0LP, Limavady
Been here?
A roadside parking area beside the ocean and lough, near the Greencastle ferry and a restaurant within walking distance. The views are excellent and nights can be very quiet, especially after 21:00, but ferry traffic can be busy at times. The ground is uneven and can become muddy when wet, while strong winds are possible. There are no facilities, and mobile signal is poor.

Roadside park up, busy ferry traffic at times, troublesome if windy, The Point Inn is very good, near a prison, and an army base, poor mobile signal.
The exact place was full, but there are several possible spots along the road. We spent a quiet night there with a five-star view! No noise from 9 p.m. Access to the sea. I recommend it.
Loving this little gem of a spot. Close to the Greencastle ferry crossing, near an excellent bar & restaurant (walking distance), and a lovely beach. Can't get a decent UK mobile network, but decent roaming available from Donegal. Parking it a bit ropey, but it is possible to get close to level, just keep the main track free as it's a drive though road.
As previously said very quiet spot as its the end of the road! Ferry begins on 15th April. The Point Inn does good food in large portions , was very busy on Saturday night. A few other vans stayed. It got bit wet and windy for a while but a good place to sleep well.
Dirt lay-by just before ferry port. Very quiet in March before ferry starts the season at Easter. Only 1 car passed after 6pm. No facilities at all. Very uneven & I imagine very messy when wet. Room for 5 or 6 camper or caravans. Beautiful view across lough from Derry to Greencastle. Wonderful golden beach from ferry port as far as the eye can see around the very well preserved Martello Tower.
excellent view pub restaurant close by, very quiet at night, amazing scenary, totally off grid,
What a corker! Gorgeous view, great phone signal and quiet at night. What more could you ask for?!
Great view, right by the water. It was windy. The pitch is tight, but spread out it was enough room for five or six campers/motorhomes in the end. The night was quiet, with very little traffic.
Spot that does the job for one night. Peaceful night.
I had a really peaceful night here, ground is uneven & takes a bit of moving around to get level but doable. Couple of others in the area too although no one on top of each other. Very quiet after 6pm even on a Saturday. Good signal on 3/SMARTY. Felt safe as solo female. Bins available - if you’re getting the ferry to the republic, make sure you dispose of your waste here as bins there are SPARCE!
