Peaceful village parking, no water

Quiet area. Few caravans. Facilities. A bar very close by, down some stairs. Little shade.

Beautiful area with a magnificent view. The landscapes along the road to the village are superb. We spent a peaceful night; grey-water and cassette emptying are available and free. There are also public toilets. Thank you to the municipality.

Thank you to the municipality for this place. Flat, quiet and with a little shade. A very good convenience shop in the village for essentials, pizza on Friday evening 250 m away. Starting point for hikes.

Small village with lots of charm. The area only lacks a place to fill the fresh-water tank (if there is one, we didn’t see it). A major plus is the free toilets.

Thank you to the municipality for welcoming us so well. The village shop in the old school is a real bonus. Very reasonable prices. Excellent fresh bread baked on site; the multigrain bread is delicious, as are the pastries, fruit, vegetables and tinned goods. A little refreshment area facing the mountain, on the school benches.

Very beautiful and peaceful motorhome site with many hiking and cycling opportunities! Waste disposal and toilet available. A small nearby shop with delicious croissants and pain au chocolat. The downside was the camping behaviour of some other people, including awning, tables, chairs and barbecue. It is still a free motorhome area, not a paid campsite!

Very nice camper site, toilet building (clean!), rubbish containers and grey-water disposal. At the back, stairs lead to a restaurant with a terrace; we ate very well there! Grocer selling bread 5 minutes’ walk away. We stayed for 2 days. Tip: the route to Moulin de Ribaute and the waterfalls is wonderfully beautiful! We didn’t do the walking route to the castle.

Quiet, spacious site with a great view—about a one-hour walk from the castle. Very clean toilets. The only issue is that the water pressure from the tap is relatively weak—but that’s a very minor complaint.

Peaceful stay and night in a lovely spot. Bread at the village shop. Be careful, it isn’t always open; otherwise there is an excellent bakery and grocery shop in Cucugnan. Grey-water and toilet disposal. Small sink with water.

It is still just as pleasant to park at this area. The pitches are decent and the walk to the castle is a little difficult, but all you need is good feet. Thank you to the municipality.

A great quiet motorhome site, thanks to the municipality. Right in the little town there is a small shop that is simultaneously a bakery, grocery store and bar/café, run by very friendly people. Definitely stop by.

Very good place to spend the night. We loved the castle and the people in the village. Octavia and Fred from the Epicerie (a little village shop/bar) have fresh bread every day and great conversation. Highly recommended for an afternoon drink and to learn about its history.

Thank you to the municipality for this well-designed and well-maintained area. It is not far from the start of the walk to the castle. (It can also be reached by vehicle, with large car parks at the top.)

A wonderfully peaceful place where you can stay for 48 hours. The fortress can be reached on foot after a strenuous climb of over an hour. In the village, besides selling fresh bread in the morning, the grocery shop has also become a café, brown-bar and meeting place. Open for coffee from 8:30 a.m., and in the off-season from 6 p.m. for an aperitif. Highly recommended!

Great area! 48 hours allowed. Very quiet and plenty of opportunities for walks nearby. I regret that everything is closed. I had hoped to find local products.

Very nice little site below the castle, quiet, with a toilet that is cleaned, grey-water disposal and a small sink without a threaded connection. At the other end of the village there is a spring with excellent water. Many hiking opportunities. We felt very comfortable there.

Rather flat, toilets and water even in winter (February), containers and recycling, the site is very clean. Extremely windy; we stayed only a few hours before leaving to find a calmer area.

Beautiful view. Great hikes. No shops open at this time of year. No water. A shame.

Thank you to the municipality for this very pleasant area with free services. Relaxing view over the heights and the castle ruins. The only downside is that everything is closed at this time of year—no bakery or grocery shop. Hence 4 stars.

Great spot. We had clean toilets and were not bothered by the rubbish containers. On Friday the pizza van a little further away was open, and it was excellent! When we arrived at 3 p.m. it was very busy, but many campers left later.

Great area with a beautiful view of the castle. Pleasant hike to Moulin de Ribaute. Very clean facilities. However, the smell from the rubbish bins is awful.

Area with good views but nothing else. There is no water, only grey-water drainage, and there is a very dirty toilet and a sink with a non-threaded tap that residents constantly use to wash everything. It is always dirty. There are permanent residents with tents who get annoyed when you arrive and want to use the sink. The road is terrible, with many steep sections and narrow stretches. Not recommended.

Superb view of the castle. 4G works, flat, a few shaded spaces, toilet and disposal facilities. The grocery shop is closed on Wednesdays.

Very good area with a view of the castle, but you have to park right at the back of the car park because of the strong rubbish smell. A shame—I would otherwise have given it 4 stars.

Really nice motorhome site considering it is completely free: toilets with running water and toilet paper, grey-water disposal and a rubbish station. The grocery shop is only a few metres away and there is a great view of the mountains.

Disposal area but no tap for refilling the water tank. We considered spending the night because the spot seemed quiet, but then continued to the Cucugnan campsite.

Service point in working order, free service, but beware: the tap has no thread and the flow is weak. Black water must be emptied together with grey water. No dedicated disposal point. The area seems nice for sleeping. Thanks to the town hall.

The area is great, with lots of mosquitoes and very hot, but we had a wonderful night.

Quiet place with a view of the mountains, a small restaurant right next to the parking area. Clean and peaceful, right next to the Verdouble Gorge.

Peaceful night with a magnificent view. Small grocery shop with pastries and good bread. Farm eggs sold further away. Thank you to the municipality for allowing us to enjoy this wonderful village free of charge. No recycling centre in this clean car park. Bins with separate recycling.

The place is nice, but the toilets are in poor condition and the water facilities are not very convenient. In addition, there is a waste collection centre and cars keep arriving to dump rubbish at all hours. I do not recommend it.
