Unnamed Road, 7580, Monte Novo
Been here?
A quiet parking spot in a tiny village surrounded by nature and cork farms. Parking uses residents’ spaces, so asking permission is recommended, with 1 or 2 vehicles ideal. A fountain and free public toilet are available, but there are no shops or restaurants. The village is very quiet at night, with occasional train noise.

Very good spot indeed. Note that parking is on spaces belonging to local residents, some of whom arrive around 8 p.m., not to mention a large bus. Out of respect for the residents, one or two vehicles maximum would be ideal, or ask permission in order to leave a good impression of our community.
Parking in a small village with only a few houses, quiet at night—almost eerie. There is a fountain for filling the shower, and a free public toilet in a small community building at the end of the car park, available to everyone. Many lovely, very kind ladies showed us the toilet. At night, lots of curious kittens came begging for food.
Car park in the middle of an authentic village. It is a dead-end street, so there is hardly any traffic. A train passed by once during our stay. There is a playground and a dog that keeps watch. Otherwise it is very quiet; there are no shops or restaurants.
Level parking in the middle of a square. There is little to see apart from the rice fields and cork oak forests.
Peaceful spot in the middle of a small village, with a fountain, picnic table and playground. The locals are very welcoming. The only downside: the mosquitoes are fierce from 9 p.m. onwards!!!! Please look after the place; it is maintained by the locals.
