Canal-side parking, overnight noise

We spent our first night in a van here in May 2025. When we arrived, the spot was pleasant and quiet, but the night was more eventful. We could hear the road and, above all, some young people from the village who came to spend the evening. Early in the morning, firefighters arrived to carry out exercises. Nice walk starting from this place, but we do not recommend it for spending the night.

We could hear the road below, and quite a few runners and dog walkers came early in the morning, but otherwise it is a nice spot beside the water.

Quiet corner for the night. Good to know: next to a housing development and the start of a walking route, especially early in the morning for dog walkers.

Pleasant spot beside the canal, with shade. We had lunch there and stayed for the afternoon. 2 bins available. For the night, however, it is not ideal for light sleepers: you can hear the main road below, and cars come to park from 6 a.m.

A large parking area with a nice view of a small river where you can cool off (if you dare to get into the water despite the current). The road is very loud and people regularly walk past with their dogs. The place is partly shaded and partly sunny.

Great spot, especially in summer when it is very hot; the water is great for cooling off and there is even a rope for having fun! The forest right next to the canal is very pleasant for walking. We spent two nights there and it was very enjoyable :)

Nice spot indeed! Flat and possibility to find shade for 2 campers. We spent the whole day there alone and enjoying idleness. In the end, we dared to jump in the water. Fresh!! I recommend it and will come back whenever I’m in the region ;)

5/5. A little busy the next morning. Very few mosquitoes in mid-July despite the water nearby. Nobody was there in the evening, which was great. Not as quiet as in the middle of a forest because there is a town nearby, but a very good place to spend a night in the countryside. Thank you to the municipality.

Great spot at the edge of a beautiful area for walking or mountain biking. Very quiet, even though road noise is not far away... A canal borders the parking area; I don't know what it is like with mosquitoes in summer!

Wonderful place to spend a night and go for a walk along the canal and in the forest next to it. Bins are available in the parking area. During the day, hikers and people with their dogs come by from time to time, but they are not a nuisance.
