Riverside picnic area, narrow access

We spent a very good night near the picnic tables. The site is very quiet and pleasant. A few bins are available. Another van was also there. Walking is possible along the Cher. Canoe trips depart from here.✦Translating

When we arrived, we were lucky to find space for a canoe trip the next day—not to be missed!—with Canoë Company. The manager even offered to let us spend the night there. Excellent quiet place, with toilets accessible 24/7, running water, fishing possibilities and walks near the château. We highly recommend it!✦Translating

Attention: narrow passage over a small bridge (2.05 m is okay). Large, flat grassy area, quiet beside the Cher. A few walkers, but nothing troublesome. The only noises were a hot-air balloon right next door in the morning around 7 a.m., though it was not very loud, and a tractor on the other side of the Cher at 8 a.m. Out of courtesy, we asked the canoe rental company if we could spend the night, and they had no problem with it.✦Translating

Accessible by van Quiet and pleasant night because it was Thursday evening and the canoes and bar were not open! Pedestrian paths along the water for early risers.✦Translating

Great for a picnic! Nice open space near the river and Château de Chenonceau. We did not spend the night, but I see no prohibition.✦Translating
