Central beer-fountain site, no water

A little strange. There are four spaces at the dumping area. We were alone in August. Very quiet area. With the EasyPark app it costs €5.75. Thanks to the town.

Ideal for sleeping, but bear in mind that things start getting busy in the morning. The beer fountain is a 5-minute walk away.

The car park is half empty, even though the four spaces by the dumping facilities are still free; some motorhomes have parked in the car spaces. Payment is only through the EasyPark app. Electricity is paid: €0.50 per kWh. Quiet at night.

Quiet place for only two campers, but be careful: the spaces are positioned exactly over the dumping facilities.

Four motorhome spaces with free electricity, which switches off at midnight. To reactivate it, you have to unplug and reconnect the cable. One or two local campers are parked here. As of today, the water is closed, and dumping is only possible for those with a removable cassette. Excellent for visiting Žalec and its famous beer fountains.

A spot that could be nice if the same Slovenian campers mentioned in the 4 April comment did not occupy the car park and use it as their own parking area. So, if you need the services, it is a matter of luck. You cannot even dump grey water because they are parked over the drain.

The place is very convenient for visiting the town because it is near the sports area. Very busy during the day until late evening, then quiet. The only shame is that two long-term campers occupy the motorhome spaces, so we parked next to them. I believe the official spaces are four.

The parking lot would be good if the campers living here didn't park their campers in the two places designated for those who want to spend the night here. They also parked their cars in the service area, so that's also unusable.

We stayed here for one night from 26 to 27 December 2025 at this free motorhome site. Thanks to the municipality for this service. Electricity was also available. Perfect. Paved, level and very quiet.

Good parking area for visiting the small centre of Žalec and especially for spending the night. We did not use any services, but the water appeared to be closed because it was winter.

A nice enough spot. Well positioned to visit the town. However, we couldn't get the water supply to work... it took the money and spat out a few liters before cutting off. Having big problems getting water this time of year... it hasn't been too cold either. Filled up in Celje instead

A little cramped between all the other parked cars. Many people are around. Otherwise, a top spot: free, with electricity also relatively inexpensive. Free public toilets are a 6-minute walk away; opening hours are approximately 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., depending on the month and day.

A large parking area with many spaces. It is free and very quiet; the only noise is workers’ buses leaving from here at around 6 in the morning. I like it.

Excellent car park with services, but I have the feeling that one space is always occupied by a permanently parked motorhome.

A very big parking lot that offers a good and peaceful night. A short walking distance from the beer fountain. The town of Zalec is very nice. And thanks to the municipality for the generous offer of free parking lot.

2 motorhome spaces for parking with water, black and grey waste disposal. An excellent stop over to do a bike ride down the river and visit the beer fountain! Thank you to the town for accommodating us! BE AWARE: The car park was very quiet on the weekend but very busy on Monday. 2 cars had parked in one of the motorhome spots when we were there.

The place is fine, but it is far too small for four campers—perhaps four small VW buses. Completely fine and free for one night. Otherwise, there is no shade during the day, dumping is next door, and there is noise from the sports centre opposite. Thanks to the previous user at post 2: €6.45 remaining credit.

Very good for enjoying the beer fountain, which is very close. However, motorhomes had already been installed there for several days, so we did not want to stay overnight because we would have occupied two car spaces.

There are supposed to be four spaces, but of course two badly parked campers ruin it. Fortunately, there are no restrictions in the rest of the car park. We spent one quiet night without using the water, dumping or electricity services. There are some trees, but they provide little shade. Conveniently, the beer fountain is only a few minutes away on foot.

We stayed here for one night after a long journey towards Poland. We mainly stopped to see the beer fountain, which is a one-minute walk from the car park. The car park is in front of a sports centre, with paid electricity and free grey- and black-water disposal. The only downside was that some young people were making noise around midnight and smashed bottles on the ground.

It is possible to dump black and grey water and fill up with water at €0.10 per 10 litres. Nice place 300 metres away to taste six different beers. You buy a beer mug and get 3, 6 or 10 tastings for €10, €12 or €14, and you keep the mug. You serve yourself, which is fun. Nearby you can also eat kebabs that are really good.

Good free place to spend the night if you want to visit the beer fountains in the center of Zalec, in walking distance. Calm, quiet during the night, bit noisy until the sport fields are in use. Emptying the toilet casette is free, filling up water is 0,5€/50 liters, so it's very cheap. Recommended place, should be more like this in the other side of the country!

Lovely public motorhome area, with four spaces and electricity, but one motorhome is enough to occupy two of them. It is still possible to park elsewhere in the car park if you stay within the marked lines. Quiet, safe and illuminated. Central location.

Good place to stop, with water and dumping facilities and paid electricity. The only drawback is that the spaces are poorly arranged, right next to the drain.

Great place to recover after visiting the beer fountain. When we were there, the school next door had a sports tournament the following day, and the car park’s lamps stayed on all night. It is okay, but the paid site in the neighbouring village would be a quieter option if you have bicycles.

Only a short walk to the beer fountain—and it is really worth seeing. The night was quiet. If two short campers, around 6 metres long, park well, two can fit in one space.

We spent two nights here at the beginning and end of our trip through Slovenia. Quiet place—the sports facilities were not a nuisance. Water costs EUR 1 / 80 litres. Generally, there are two camper spaces, but the first time we stayed in a space for passenger cars, like several other campers. An ideal spot for enjoying the beer fountain.

We used the pitch while passing through. It is next to a sports centre. There are 2 pitches with electricity hookup and a chemical toilet disposal point! The car park is often a meeting place for teenagers, so it can sometimes get noisy. There is also a shopping option nearby at the TUS! Thanks to the municipality for the free pitch!!!

All Works well. Two parking spaces for campers. very large car park in general and quiet, it could be good for night as well be we came here just for water and cleaning the toilet. Its near School and Sports Objects so could be noisy in weekedays.
