Unnamed Road, 691 94, Karlskoga
Been here?
A quiet, natural lakeside spot with a fire pit, firewood, grill attachment, benches and marked hiking routes nearby. The gravel access was recently manageable even for a 9 meter motorhome, though older reports describe it as narrow, bumpy and badly potholed. Fishing is possible with a 24-hour permit, but there is no proper beach. Mosquitoes can be extremely numerous in summer.

We were here at the end of June 2026. The access was easy even with a 9-metre motorhome and the site is beautiful, BUT at this time of year you share it with thousands of tiny biting midges. I have never seen so many in one place, and it was completely impossible to leave the vehicle. What a shame. Yes.
Dreamlike parking spot with wonderful hiking trails. Perfect for collecting mushrooms and berries. Fishing was hardly possible because the water was very shallow. No proper swimming area, but that wasn't an issue for us. Please take your rubbish with you and leave the place clean. We would happily come back.
Great natural site. Fire pit with firewood and a grill grate available. Excellent for trying your hand at fishing (a 24-hour permit can easily be purchased by phone for little money). Good access, and large vehicles can find space too.
The “road” consists of more holes than anything else… we're used to quite a lot up here, but this is completely unacceptable. We turned around halfway. We were travelling by car with a rooftop tent. In the current rainy weather, the road is likely to get worse rather than better.
Wonderful quiet place, far from the road. Everything is as described. The path is a bit narrow and bumpy with some holes but no problem with my 6m Possl. There are other places to park from the beginning of this gravel road, if you don’t feel like driving all the way in. But they don’t have fire pit and water access.
Beautiful spot for a maximum of 2 campers. Small barbecue area with seating. Otherwise no other services. Hiking trails nearby and directly by the lake. The road is somewhat bumpy and partly very narrow.
As already described. However, maximum 2–3 campers. The approach leads 4 km along a poor, narrow, partly overgrown gravel track.
Great parking spot in the middle of nature.
Nice place with a fire pit. Swimming is possible, but there isn't really a beach. Lots of mosquitoes. Space for at least 7 campers.
Beautiful spot by the lake. Barbecue area with grill grate available. Nice marked walking routes. Local joggers, cyclists and walkers passed by occasionally. Otherwise completely quiet.
Very nice large spot with a grassy surface. There are many hiking routes nearby. However, the place was also very busy. We stood here with 4 other campers, and during our stay 5 more came by but drove on because it was already so full.
Wonderful idyllic spot directly by the lake with a fire pit and benches. Two of us stayed here and still had plenty of privacy. Large stones in the water to sit on and enjoy. Unfortunately, there were quite a few mosquitoes or similar biting insects in the evening.
