Parking prohibited at night. We have stopped here before; it was convenient as a stopover. There is water and a very pleasant souvenir shop, but this may be recent: overnight parking is prohibited.
Free parking behind the restaurants. Large space to park. Nice atmosphere in the evening with the pubs and music. Woken at 6 am by bar deliveries and the arrival of tourists at 9 am.
Large car park that extends a little higher up; it is quieter and flatter there. Perfect for visiting the castle or enjoying the restaurants.
Convenient for one night, as there is a large car park.
Drive up to the hotel car park. Go to the back. You can hear the road a little. Overall, a quiet night. A very good, legendary pub right next door.
Unfortunately a car playing loud music pulled up next to our van at 2130. After an hour of music and loud chatting right outside our van we gave up and moved on to find another park-up. Otherwise the car park seemed fine, there were two other campers nearby and it would’ve been fine for a night’s sleep. Bunratty was a nice place to stop for a quick wander around and bite to eat.
Perfect for sleeping, fairly flat and very quiet. Very pretty castle at night.
Good stop. We stayed here 3 nights. Little issues. We asked the staff of jilly and Joe’s and they confirmed that we could stay. However, the spots displayed on the app are now for busses only. continue to jilly and Joe’s overflow parking. It’s across from the hotel all the way in the back by the woods
Spacious car park where we spent a night without any problems. Five spaces that we assume are for motorhomes. Other campers were there with us. We couldn’t find the water refill point or any sign indicating that overnight stays were allowed.
This is not an official motorhome parking area, but the car park belonging to the Jilly & Joe’s restaurant. It is also sloped and noisy.
Continue to the overflow parking in front of the Bunratty Castle Hotel. It is no longer in commercial use. The parking area is flatter.
We stayed overnight here yesterday. Toilets directly on site, separate for men and women, very clean and open all night. If you don’t mind the nearby motorway, this is a good place to stay. During the week, however, trucks deliver supplies to the restaurants early in the morning. So you may need to get up early...
Fine spacious car park opposite Castle /Folk Park entrance. OK overnight despite signs to the contrary. Lovely meal in the nearest pub. Castle /Folk Park was a must see the following day. Spent 4 hours there.
Had a very quiet night here on 29/6, also have good meal at Durty Nellys. The biut of the car park where coaches park says no overnight parking but the other bit doesnt. There were a total of about 6 vans there the night we stayed. About 20 minute drive from Shannon Airport which was great for us as we dropped someone off for an early flight.
Very noisy; we didn’t stay. We’ll come back tomorrow to visit the castle. We left for Newmarket-on-Fergus.
All the large spots were marked for bus only. Couldn’t find any services. Public toilets are here. We moved to the one 50 m up the road.
Excellent and spacious car park right opposite the castle entrance. Drinking water can be filled up and grey water emptied. Safe and quiet place.
