Been here?
This large campsite above Lake Vättern has pitches on several levels, around 40 cabins, 30 pitches, a shop, restaurant, and 3 small playgrounds. The lake view is attractive, with a footpath to a sandy beach about 750m away and buses and a path into town. Sanitary facilities are old, with recent reports describing them as both acceptable and dirty. Some pitches can hear loud music from a neighboring area.

Very nice place, directly by the lake. (Cliff coast: lovely footpath to the sandy beach, 750 m.) Excellent food in the restaurant and pleasant atmosphere. The sanitary facilities are old and uninviting. Nice playground and usable Wi-Fi. Good opportunities for walking the dog.Translating
We had a very nice visit. Well placed for local buses, and a foot/cycle path into town. The shower block by reception was good - not perfect, but better than some reviews have said. We had a breakfast and an evening meal: good food, and reasonably priced. The WiFi was excellent.
The sanitary facilities and toilets are very outdated. We were passing through on 26 July 2026 and it was sufficient for staying one night. The lakeshore is very steep; you have to walk quite far to reach the beach. The staff are friendly and nice.Translating
We stayed one night for the equivalent of €36 with all services, four people in our California. The toilets and showers were indeed a little grubby, but certainly okay for one night. The staff were friendly as described and the spontaneous booking was uncomplicated. The beach is five minutes away on foot. Certainly okay for one night.Translating
Not recommended: dirty toilets, neglected. On the first visit to the toilet, the entire lid immediately came flying off; the toilet brush was simply attached to the wall with a nail, without a holder. Absolutely disgusting. We left the next day. One star for the very friendly staff.Translating
Good location for the great beach, beautiful view and friendly staff. However, the toilets and bathrooms were very dirty; we couldn't bring ourselves to shower there. It also smelled horribly the whole time... Not recommended for a longer stay.Translating
As a stopover, the site was okay for us and for just one night. It is very large and you may/must choose your own pitch. The sanitary facilities were clean, but in need of renovation. The food in the restaurant was good, but timing is a foreign concept to the kitchen staff when it gets busier. We waited half an hour for an ice cream with three scoops, cream and chocolate sauce.Translating
Neglected campsite with outdated, broken and dirty sanitary facilities in some kind of barracks. There is nothing beautiful about this campsite. The welcome, however, was friendly.Translating
Actually a nice campsite; the town is 2 km away and easily reachable on foot, though better by bicycle. We had a pitch right at the entrance with a direct view of the lake. Free choice of pitch. Beware of pitches near and behind the small houses: loud music from the neighbour. Points were deducted for the sanitary facilities, which are borderline. The reception staff are very friendly.Translating
The site itself is not bad; you should just avoid pitch 122, as the neighbours opposite have chosen to play music continuously. Anyone looking for peace and quiet, as we were, is completely wrong here. Further down the view may not be as good, but it is definitely quieter. The sanitary facilities are clean, but not very good. The ones up by reception are worlds better.Translating
The positives are online booking and being able to park on grass. But there is neither a view of the water nor any peace and quiet: it is noisy, there are many children, and the restaurant is basically a snack bar—as is the food. The sanitary facilities are truly run-down.Translating
Beautiful location by the lake and very friendly, helpful staff at reception. The reception area with restaurant and small supermarket is currently being renovated and expanded with a terrace. The site is sunny and offers a lovely view of the town. The showers and toilets are also being renovated and are largely clean and acceptable.Translating
Very friendly welcome, free choice of pitch, small shop and restaurant with breakfast and/or dinner, good location, thermal baths and swimming pool nearby. Older but very clean sanitary facilities. Unfortunately, the sauna is separated by gender.Translating
Very friendly welcome, free choice of pitch, small shop and restaurant with breakfast and/or dinner, good location, the town is easily reachable on foot along the beach promenade. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities are not very good—they are very outdated.Translating
Very pleasantly located campsite, where several pitches have a beautiful view over Lake Vättern. Well located both in relation to the motorway and Jönköping city centre. By bicycle, the centre is easily reached in 15 minutes and a swimming spot in Lake Vättern in 10. Spotlessly clean toilets and showers, shop and restaurant, and a reasonable price. SEK 395 including electricity!Translating
Unfortunately, the site and sanitary facilities are completely run-down and not worth the price. It takes at least 15 minutes to walk to the lake. The restaurant prices are completely excessive for tiny portions and poor quality, and then the bill is also calculated incorrectly, naturally to the guest's disadvantage. Never again!Translating
Friendly welcome, you choose your own pitch. Adequate sanitary facilities, close to the town on foot.Translating
I cannot really understand the negative criticism. We stayed here for 8 days. Fine, large campsite. Friendly, service-minded staff. Reasonable toilets and shower facilities, best in the building opposite reception. Good laundry facilities. Fine options for emptying grey and black water. The restaurant serves cafeteria-level food. We paid SEK 395 = DKK 264, including electricity.Translating
Tired campsite. But good for one night in autumn to watch hockey.Translating
We give four stars because the site is a lovely small overnight area with very friendly staff. We had a beautiful view of the lake. One star deducted for the sanitary facilities, which are very old but clean and functional.Translating
The campsite is not recommended. The sanitary building is dirty and very outdated. The price is very high, and if you add electricity it costs an additional €9 per day.Translating
Last year the value for money was better. A major increase, it seems. Pitch without electricity: SEK 395; no services in June; ageing sanitary facilities. I will not return.
Our third stay—unfortunately disappointing. Sanitary facilities unacceptable: broken showers, water that cannot be regulated, and poor hygiene. There used to be mini golf, but now there is only grass. For the high price, the site offers very little. Positive: receptionist Galvin was very friendly and made an effort.
