Strada della Ficoncella, 00053, Civitavecchia
Been here?
Free outdoor parking at Terme della Ficoncella, although the area is not flat and overnight parking outside the gate requires levelling. The baths open from 08:00 to 20:00, with a small bar, toilet, and coffee-and-water machine; the thermal water is very hot, while the showers have been reported cold. Five motorhomes can fit by the gate, and the place is generally quiet. The baths were closed on December 24th, 25th, and 26th 2025.

The spa staff are very friendly and helpful, the facilities are adequate and the price symbolic BUT the water is very hot—it is spectacular what they have here.
A very beautiful place, but unfortunately it is closed on December 24, 25 and 26.
The baths are indeed very warm and lovely, and admission is cheap, as are the drinks, but the showers were not warm—they were freezing cold. We made the journey there with a 7.5 m camper, but the road surface is very poor and the road is also very narrow. You can stay outside the gate overnight, but not without levelling.
Bagni della Ficoncella. You can still park and spend the night on the strip beside the access road. The baths have been taken over by the Municipality of Civitavecchia. The ticket office is in the former bar with vending machines. Parking inside is free. Unfortunately, prices for non-residents have risen sharply. What a shame. 8:00–14:00 and 14:00–20:00: €6 Full day: €10
I stayed alone outside the gates overnight after getting off the ferry. So very peaceful and woke up to birdsong. Much nicer than the car parks closer to the ferry.
The water in the pools is wonderfully warm. The showers are very hot (thermal water), and you must not use shampoo or shower gel. You can spend the night comfortably outside the car park!
A very good place. We spent the night nearby on someone’s property; there are no prohibition signs.
Friendly welcome... €3 for half-day use of the thermal baths... we stayed on the right, beside the road, in front of the gate.
The spots on the grass are blocked. There is a flat area in front of the spa. Fairly quiet, but unfortunately everything is completely littered. I suppose that is considered good manners in Italy.
We parked the camper for one night along the road opposite the entrance to the thermal baths. We combined business with pleasure: we needed a place to sleep during our journey and were looking for somewhere near the motorway exit, then in the morning we went to the baths for a few hours. Breathtaking view over Civitavecchia.
Good place to sleep for one night; it is the entrance to some Roman thermal baths.
The gate was closed when we arrived at 2 p.m. But by pulling over to the right, we were in the shade—perfect for the duration of a meal. As a result, there are no bins...
