A small free parking niche directly by the Saale at the west gate of the Ernst-Abbe sports field. It is beside a busy walking and cycling path, though the surroundings are quiet at night. Railway and stadium construction noise can be heard, and there are no rubbish bins. Public toilets are about 5 minutes on foot.

This is a small niche on the Saale, directly in front of the entrance to the stadium. It is right beside the cycle and footpath and very busy. Even during a football match, this niche was not used by motorists. I would never park my motorhome here.
Super beautiful place, directly on the Saale. Very quiet; many walkers and joggers at the weekend. Nevertheless, relaxing. Beautifully situated in nature with a diverse birdlife on the water. Quiet at night, unfortunately no rubbish bins.
We stayed here undisturbed for several nights. The railway and construction work at the stadium can be heard, but they did not particularly bother us. Many pedestrians and cyclists. An official motorhome area in beautiful Jena would be great!
Stayed four nights at P4 behind the stadium—€4.00 per day for parking. Very quiet; we were usually the only vehicle at night. Public toilet in the park, neat and clean, three minutes by bike. Above all, take a bike ride along the Saale route, for example to the Dornburg Palaces.
Beautiful location, quiet, close to the centre, public toilets within a five-minute walk.
