What a fantastic place! Stunning views across the lake, plenty of lovely benches to relax on, and it’s all completely free. Highly recommended!
Beautiful place by the lake, with swimming opportunities - there is even a special pier with a ladder! Be careful, water is quite cold even in summer. Picnic tables, nice view, trash bins, no services, very easy access even for large caravans. Remember to NOT stay there overnight!
Very nice spot with a wonderful view of the lake. It is a place where locals come to relax. The signs advise visitors to use the nearby campsites instead, and the residents make this clear by driving past several times to check on things, although they stop after a certain time. The advice is to be as polite and respectful as possible and leave the place as clean as it was when you arrived.Translating
A beautiful, tidy place with rubbish bins and picnic tables, but you are constantly watched by people who keep driving past to check you out.Translating
Beautiful, peaceful parking area right by the lake.Translating
Great spot with a beautiful view. However, motorhomes are not welcome here. A sign points this out politely. Locals try to reinforce it by driving around and setting off with their wheels spinning. We were alone here. In summer, the situation is surely worse. Recommendation: use the local campsite.Translating
A picturesque lakeside place with access to water and picnic tables. The main road is on the other side of the lake making it a quiet place to stay.
Beautiful large place with picnic tables and a lovely lake. There are signs asking campers to stay elsewhere because it is an important recreational area for local residents.Translating
Excellent place, quiet at night, large space, and a bonus - floating sauna (bookable, 300 NOK / hour or 500 NOK / 2 hours).
Really beautiful lake; the parking area was right next to it, with a grassy area to relax on. Unfortunately, there are no toilets, but otherwise it is a really great place to linger.Translating
Beautiful view and calm place. Unfortunately no toilet but a really nice raft-sauna to rent for 300 nok per hour.
Quiet, beautiful view
Very nice view. Best view we ve had so far. Also there are wooden tables and chairs outside for outside eating. Downside: the main road is 600 meters away, but the fjord mountains seem to collect and intensive the road noise and push it over the see to this place. So it is a bit noisy, but not too noisy.
Great spot by the lake, tables and everything available. However, it is exposed to the wind.Translating
Very nice, peaceful spot on a quiet road next to the lake. A floating sauna is for hire. Picnic tables available. Only 3 motorhomes when we stayed. Vaga is a nice small town a 15 minute walk away with a cafe, shops and Eduard Munch walk (his family was from here), plus a pretty church. Toilets and supermarket in town. The garage sells local eggs.
Super nice motorhome stop with a picnic table, ideal for one night, a 20-minute walk to the village with various shopping options.Translating
Good place for one night. The road ahead was closed.Translating
An okay-place, but the floating sauna is just TOP!
Very nice spot by the lake; we still found a place at 9 p.m. Great view of the lake with picnic benches and a large parking area.Translating
At 7 p.m. there were still 3 spaces available. Great place for 1 night with swimming access. Very clean and quiet. Don’t forget mosquito spray.Translating
If you are scared of everything, that is the place to be, 1m between all campers. Prefer going somewhere else. I wonder how long it is gonna be tolerate. it is a nice place but RVs have no manners, savages.
