Been here?
This gravel motorhome area offers a magnificent view over the Oker reservoir and its bridges. Payment is collected twice daily, reservations are unavailable, and up to 15 motorhomes fit when full. Electricity, toilets, and waste facilities are available, although grey-water disposal is awkward and current bridge reconstruction causes loud early-morning construction noise.

Very beautiful viewpoint. Lovely site with electricity and access to a toilet. Two stars because bridge reconstruction work is ongoing in 2026. It is very noisy early in the morning and takes away much of the charm of the view. However, we will return after December 2027, when the work should be finished. They do not work at weekends, so then we would give four or five stars :-)
Lovely little site with a beautiful view.
A beautiful view.
Very nice place with amazing view to the water. Very quite . Amazing place to isolate yourself for a while from the crowds. Definitely will visit again. I was a solo traveler so I paid 15€ per night . You don’t need to go anywhere to pay. A nice guy comes twice a day to collect the money. They accept cash only . Electric cost 0.5€ per Kw , you need a long cable in case you park far from electric
Super beautiful spot. Brilliant views and excellent opportunities for cycling and hiking. Great value for money. Waste disposal is a little awkward but easily manageable. I highly recommend the site.
Very beautiful spot overlooking the reservoir. Electricity pedestals available. Grey-water disposal is a disaster because the small grate is difficult to hit… or you have to use buckets. Black-water cassette disposal and fresh-water filling for a fee are excellent.
Very quiet parking area. With only three other motorhomes, it was great. You need small change for the electricity. And the operator came at a very Christian hour: 9 a.m. The only thing that bothered us, though nobody could do anything about it, was construction work on the bridge. But it didn't start again until 8 a.m. And one more personal tip: position yourselves from bottom to top. We fools stood slightly nose-down; it wasn't ideal.
Great spot. Fantastic view. Beautiful hiking trails.
Very beautiful spot. Where else can you get such a view with electricity and service facilities? The price is absolutely reasonable and it is a great starting point for hiking.
We would have liked to give 5 stars. The site is really good, with plenty of opportunities for hiking, among other things, and the toilet was open. The “money collector” :-) was really nice… BUT… why isn't the water supply marked as defective or out of service? It takes your money and provides no service. Grey-water disposal is only possible with a bucket.
A spot with a beautiful view after a day of hiking or cross-country skiing. As everywhere in the Harz, you should rely on self-catering, as hardly any restaurants are open and even fewer are good.
The view of the reservoir is always fantastic. But remember to buy everything you need beforehand. Unfortunately, there isn't much left in the village.
Superb view and a very friendly woman who runs the site. There is also a toilet. Highly recommended!
The parking area is quite nice, but somewhat sloping, so you need levelling wedges. Electricity works perfectly, but the service facilities are out of order. The immediate neighbours sat outside chatting until 11 p.m., which did not bother me. However, you only get electricity and a beautiful view, so I find €14.80 including visitor tax simply too expensive.
The water station and disposal facilities are currently out of service. Otherwise, a very beautiful spot with a good view.
What a lovely spot just us and one other Motorhome here. Views over the lake walks round the Forrest and sculpture park. Lots cycle paths and hiking well worth the money so peaceful thank you to the community it’s a great place. There are a couple cafes but not open on a Monday.
A really beautiful spot. We stayed one night. In the evening, a really nice cashier comes by. There is electricity if needed, and a service point at the entrance. Everything was good.
Perfect peace and nature! The price of €17.60 for the motorhome and tourist tax (2 people) is completely justified. We will be back!
Very beautiful spot with a great view! By late afternoon, the motorhomes were packed tightly together, but that is bearable in this region.
Beautiful view in absolute peace and quiet!
Great for an overnight stay, we will definitely return.
The parking area is in a scenic location; we paid €18 for one night for two people. Unfortunately, the site is too uneven to compensate for with levelling wedges. A disposal station and portable toilet are available. The disposal station was apparently defective: it took our euro, but we received no water, not even to rinse the toilet cassette.
Excellent motorhome pitch with a very beautiful view!
Great view, quiet and attractively situated. We will be back. Payment is handled as described by a municipal employee, who left a very friendly note on the windscreen because we were away. The fee could then be paid via a letterbox. Very practical. Bakery in the immediate vicinity.
Clean with a beautiful view. However, far too expensive. Grey-water disposal is much too small.
A very beautiful car park with an incredible view. The fee is minimal. We can only recommend it.
Clean motorhome pitch with several electrical hookups, a small disposal facility and a portable toilet. No great luxury, but a wonderful area with a beautiful view. Recommended for one night while passing through or for a few days of hiking and cycling. The pitch fee is paid to a friendly lady from the municipal administration who comes around.
Great motorhome pitch with a beautiful view. A very nice young woman comes by in person to collect the parking fee. You need small change for the electricity hookup. Toilets are available. Excellent starting point for lovely walks or bike rides. Cost: €10 per night plus tourist tax.
Exceptional view. No bread rolls or restaurant available. The bridge will be out of service for the next few years, so approach via Clausthal. They are resurfacing the road through the village, but the site is still accessible. You definitely need levelling blocks; the ground slopes considerably. We didn't see anyone collecting payment, but there is a letterbox for contributions on the information board.
Very beautiful view, and a really lovely lady who collected our pitch fee. Electricity (for an additional fee), grey-water disposal and toilet disposal available. Tip: levelling ramps or similar are absolutely essential.
Great view. Quiet and nice. Small festival toilet available. Electricity paid by coins.
Dream motorhome pitch, quiet and with a fantastic view of the reservoir. In the evening, a very friendly employee came to collect the fees. He explained everything, and we exchanged a few pleasant words. We will definitely come back.
Good site with a fantastic view. We paid about €15 for one night with two people. A friendly gentleman came around twice a day to collect payment. Electricity and water were available for purchase. The site has a portable toilet that was quite clean. The pitch is very sloping, so you should definitely bring levelling wedges. All in all, a good site without much frill.
Beautiful site with a top view. Just over €15 including tourist tax for two people, excluding electricity, with no toilet in the middle of nowhere—that is pretty steep. Still recommended.
Superb motorhome pitch with water, electricity and a portable toilet (water, soap, disinfectant and toilet paper). Amazing view and very quiet. We had no problems finding a pitch in the evening. The restaurant is very dog-friendly!
