Finlandsveien 536, 9930, Neiden, Norway
Been here?
This is a small, quiet campsite beside the river, currently charging 420 NOK. Electricity, laundry, showers and a sauna are available, although the sanitary facilities are dated and one shower room floods the floor. Waste disposal is limited to burnable rubbish, while glass and metal are not accepted. The site is mainly intended for salmon fishermen, and coffee and cabins are available at reception.

On our four-week tour through Sweden, Finland, and Norway, this was the worst place. For 420 NOK, we expect much more. Two toilets, each with a shower in the room. With one of them, the entire floor was immediately flooded when you showered. The other at least had something resembling a partition. A shame, as this place has potential.
The campsite was closed. No one could be reached by phone. Everything looks somewhat neglected. We drove on.
Very nice older campsite, quiet and directly by the river. We were the only guests, and the sanitary facilities were very clean for us. We cannot confirm previous reviews. The price was also okay, with electricity and showers included.
One of the few campsites in the region open in winter. Few pitches had been cleared of snow, but we were able to park and connect to electricity. The place is quiet and a little away from the road. The showers and toilets are very clean. Sauna available.
Place is a bit worn out. Poor waste disposal facilities, you can only leave garbage that can be burn. No metal, glass etc. "Free" sauna, but you have to bring your own firewood or buy 15e/bag. You can sanitize (mandatory) your fishing gear here, but the prize is 25e person! Fishing permit is about 15e/day. Parking places a bit uneven
The location by the river is great. However, everything looks neglected, dirty, and run-down. The toilets/showers are old and dirty; when you shower, the entire room floods. Completely overpriced at this price. We definitely would not come again.
Could be a nice place. You have to empty the grey water with a bucket into a drain that is also used for disposing of toilet cassettes, with various bits left beside it by previous users. Drinking water only with a can. Washing machine available, but no dryer (the drying cabinet is only for anglers). At least there is a clothesline.
Arrived here today. I absolutely cannot agree with the negative review from the previous visitor. The sanitary facilities are tidy and clean. If someone takes a very hot shower, condensation forms. The price is far too high for what is offered. But there is no other campsite. We are paying 840 NOK for two nights. The caravan can safely remain here for a day trip to Grense Jakobselv.
Stayed here for one night. The camping pitches and electricity on the field are fine, and the location by the river is beautiful. The sanitary facilities are completely below standard, poorly maintained, with two toilet/shower rooms that are very wet, humid, and stuffy. In one room, a lamp hung 60 cm from the showerhead, with exposed electrical wires. Better avoid this campsite!! The cabins were rented to a group of partying young people, and so was the sauna.
Beautifully laid-out campsite by the river. Good restaurant. Very friendly operators. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities are somewhat old and few in number, but they are clean and pleasantly warm. Pitches are somewhat uneven. Large hot tub!
Beautiful location, large pitches, and presumably a good restaurant when open. BUT: At 400 NOK including electricity, it is totally overpriced. Sure, the sauna is included, but what use is that when it is closed? Too few sanitary facilities (all toilets combined with showers and therefore usually wet).
It cost us 380 NOK including electricity. Therefore, we cannot understand the previous reviews. We had stayed more expensively on the nights before. The washing machine was also perfectly fine and included. No dryer, but a 60-degree drying cabinet. Excellent restaurant on site, currently open until 8 p.m. Drawback: only one shower.
Very nice and quiet campsite. Friendly welcome.
We drove on. It may be beautiful, but we wanted to fish and everything was too complicated for us. Far too expensive for that.
A fascinating campsite, with a very Nordic and wild atmosphere. Very aesthetic, directly by the river. We only filled our water canister, for which we were not charged. The woman in the restaurant was very kind, and the sauna by the river was operating. If we had known how cool the place was, we would have stayed at least one night.
The site is okay and has the only washing machine in the surrounding area. Unfortunately, like so much here, it is rather neglected. The dryer next to it is secured against use with a padlock. The showers are old but very clean. The restaurant looks good.
Super clean, with a small restaurant, friendly staff, and good access roads, even for large rigs—recommended.
