Been here?
A free street parking area suitable for an overnight stay when a space is available. There are about 5 places where a 6.5m van can reverse off the road, but larger motorhomes are unsuitable. The town is about a 20 minute walk away, with a very steep climb back. Nights are generally quiet, though finding a place can be difficult.

If you’re lucky enough to get a spot, it’s a great place to see pend the night. There are about 5 spots where you can reverse a 6.5m van off the road (2 next to dog park, & a few above the cemetery), but you do need to be lucky to find one of those spots
Good quiet spot to park. We slept overnight and had no trouble. 20 minute walk to the town but it's very steep walking back up. A bit hard to find a place to fit a campervan but if you get lucky it's a great stop for the night. Clears out at night so maybe try arriving later in the evening.
you'd have to be extremely lucky to get a space. We failed at 11pm...cars parked on pavements, sidewalks, everywhere!
Not suitable for a large motorhome
We left our van for one night and it was quiet; I recommend parking after 6 p.m.
We advise you to come a bit later in the day (around 18 ish or later) since the traffic otherwise makes it difficult to get there. We were lucky to find a spot, so it’s very busy, make sure you have an alternative. The nights were good though, nobody noticed us.
Car park very full and therefore cramped; besides that, getting to the centre of Rijeka involves a bit of walking, which becomes a real uphill climb on the way back. There probably isn’t any other free place.
Perfect for one night in Rijeka, town is about 15 mins walk, longer on the way back because of the hills! There are toilets about 3 mins walk away by the cemetery building - not sure on opening times but they were open before 8.30am. A fairly decent quiet nights sleep!! Lots of cars remained parked overnight so it’s not that obvious. Not the most flat though, we used our ramps
Good place to see the city. We stayed there during Carnival and at night someone vomited in front of our vehicle. But hey, if you come from Cologne, you’re used to a lot of hardship.
Practical parking spot for a day and a night. Not particularly beautiful, but relatively quiet and close to the city. Nobody minded that we stayed there.
A practical place, but it’s a fairly busy street with traffic passing all night. With my 5.5-metre vehicle, I didn’t have much room to spare either.
We didn’t sleep there, but left the van to visit the city, a 15-minute walk away. Very good.
