Lakeside parking, quiet nights

Nice place, flat ground; we spent one night here. No prohibition, no problem.

An excellent spot by the lake, a fair few spaces but the best spot is just around the bend as you drive in to the right. Steps down to the lake where we had a quick wash in the morning before heading off. A great place , no facilities but not far from a local town.

We only arrived around midnight and found a quiet spot with a direct view of the lake. Another camper was parked a few metres away, so we still had plenty of privacy. The mosquitoes were a little annoying, but for one night it was a really beautiful spot.

Very nice place to swim and cool down a bit, and to spend a peaceful, quiet day. A few fishermen came during the day a little farther from where I was parked, but they didn’t seem bothered, so I had a very nice day.

Great spot, flat, stayed and had a late afternoon swim. One or two cars came by, turned round and went. No fishermen. The ducks swam away from my bread offering! Beautiful view from the open door. 25 mins from Mt Klerk which is worth the effort to get up there.

Quiet spot.

Meadow with a bit of gravel at the beginning. With our large motorhome, we didn’t dare drive onto the wet grass for fear of getting stuck. It is directly beside the road, but it was quiet at night, and the residents are relaxed.

Peaceful place with a very beautiful sunset ☀️

Beautiful spot directly by the lake. I asked a few people whether it was okay to stay there, and apparently nobody minds.

Calm and peaceful spot to pull up. Highly recommend.
