Been here?
This is a small free parking area directly beside Lake Como, near the port, shops, restaurants, cafés and lakeside walking paths. The lake is immediately behind the parapet, with swimming access, beautiful views and ferry connections nearby. Overnight stays have been reported, but road traffic, lighting throughout the night and activity near the entrance can make it noisy or feel exposed. There are no toilets or other services on site.

Free parking area directly by the lake. You can go for a perfect swim there. Please keep it clean and do not behave as if camping, so that the place remains open to motorhomes!
Free parking close to restaurants etc. stayed for the night. Was a little noisy but overall very pleasant. No signs prohibiting parking/camping/campers.
Amazing views and a beautiful town with supermarkets, restaurants, and cafés nearby. Lovely lakeside walking paths and easy access to ferries around Lake Como. We recommend the longer ferry trip for the scenery and onboard café. Some road noise. For vans under 6m, the western side of the lake is manageable; larger vehicles may find the eastern side easier.
Good spot to quickly pull in for a walk on the beach and for Como photos, but I wouldn’t stay overnight. Very squeezed in, and people hanging around the entrance. It didn’t feel safe to leave my van for too long.
Parking area with a beautiful view directly by the lake. Because of the nearby road, it is not completely quiet. The streetlights stay on all night.
Great view of the lake. You can reach the town comfortably via the footpath along the water.
Parking beside the main road. The parking area opens directly onto the very busy road. The view is beautiful, but you feel very exposed there... we did not stay overnight.
Perfect, free parking day and night! We slept very well facing the lake! No amenities on site.
Right by the lake, free, somewhat away from the main road and therefore relatively quiet, yet very exposed and visible. No sanitary facilities! Waste disposal in the parking area, as well as wastewater discharged directly into the lake. This causes an unpleasant smell at times and poor water quality.
The best parking area we found at the lake. Window facing the lake; we stayed for two days enjoying the lake, even with heavy rain at night!
Parking very close to a tiny beach with a beautiful view of the lake. Quiet at night, but noise starts at 6:00. Generally worth recommending.
Relatively busy until 11 p.m., but directly by the water with swimming access. However, there is no shower or toilet. Lit and with a slightly unpleasant smell, but you wake up to a beautiful view.
Small parking area with about 15 spaces. Next to a tiny beach and a fairly nice view; bins are also available. Monitored parking. You can hear noise from the main road, but it did not bother us.
Great parking area right on the shoreline, immediately beside a tiny beach. Quite a few locals come to dispose of rubbish because there are recycling bins there, but it did not bother us. There were several other motorhomes besides ours. Trucks also stopped there, but not overnight—rather for a short break. We had no problems here.
A great place for one night, beach access, easy to maneuver, and an excellent restaurant next door: Ristorante da Mario! A little road noise at night, but perfect for us.
Perfect for what it is. Lakeside, free and no trouble. We stayed the night in a van with a motorhome next to us. Access to rocky beach. Road is noisy until late evening but if you don’t need absolute quiet to sleep it’s a perfect spot.
Great free spot. We stayed here one night with a 6 m Ducato and bike rack. The town has many lovely little restaurants, and after a few steps you are directly at the lake! The road runs right past it and is naturally noisy... but if you are sensitive, sleep with earplugs.
Slept here on 17/08/24 for one night, okay, but lots of cars and pedestrians passing. The view of the lake is nice, with some rubbish smells. You need to arrive early to get a place.
