9 Rue de Plaisance, 48230, Chanac
Been here?
This flat, quiet parking area beside a stream is reached by following signs towards the campsite, but the steep approach and two trees at the entrance make access difficult for larger motorhomes. It is especially suitable for vans and offers nearby dog-walking space, a playground and village shops about 5 minutes away on foot. Water and recycling bins are available. Church bells ring twice per hour at night and also on the half-hour.

A somewhat difficult place for motorhomes. Steep climb and the entrance to the parking area is obstructed by two trees. Ideal for vans or panel vans.
Very pleasant spot with trees and a stream, away from the road. It looks like a kind of park. Walkers pass by from time to time. The only drawback for light sleepers like us is that the bells ring twice an hour during the night, as well as on the half-hour.
Very picturesque village. We spent a very peaceful night beside the stream. ⚠️ Be careful to take the left side of the stream... Water available and small shops nearby. Thanks to Chanac.
Flat, quiet ground, heading toward the campsite. The one-way street is convenient, and it is five minutes’ walk from the shops, especially the bakery, which makes exceptionally good bread and croissants, as well as other shops and even a pharmacy. There are no services, but we were able to park here with a 6.8 m long and 2.9 m high motorhome. We had a great night.
Perfect place for one night beside a stream below the church. Recycling bins and all shops in the village, five minutes’ walk away.
