Errwood Hall Car Park, SK17 6GJ, Buxton
Been here?
A large, firm and fairly flat free car park with reservoir views, good phone signal and no height restriction. There is no overnight parking, and a new no-overnight sign was reported in March 2024. Access is one way between 11am and 4pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays, while the approach has narrow, tight sections. There are walking trails nearby, but no services or bins are reported.

Could be a good stop however a caravan turned up and a family group of about 12 decided it was a caravan park and started assembling awning and setting up a genny. I left.
used to be a favourite spot, but a group of people taking coke and riding quad bikes arrived. moved on after they crashed into our van.
Excellent place for all the reasons mentioned before, but beware: we suffered a massive attack of midges, which forced us to seal ourselves in too early to enjoy the beauty and peace of the place. Season? Weather? There were none when we arrived, around 7 p.m.
Excellent secluded spot off road. Large car park. Fellow campers present. Great reservoir views.
Very good parking area. Lots of space. But be aware that the roads there are almost impossible to drive on with a large motorhome. Very narrow and densely overgrown.
Lots of space and picturesque. Quite a few walking trails around, so it was a good place to stay with our dog. There doesn’t appear to be any bins though and our 3G/4G with EE was slow.
Great views and fairly flat space. We had to leave because there were quite a lot of midges, so we didn't stay in the end.
Great views, lots of space and great network coverage. If you visit on a Sunday please note the road is closed 11:00-1600
Excellent spot, quiet and safe. Strong 4G and signal on Vodafone.
Beautiful location, really quiet when we went and the car park flat. Suitable for larger motorhomes plenty of space. No services and the car park not tarmac but firm was very muddy in places. Need to be careful driving out as the road has some tight bends and narrow in places. Our van is 7.6m in length and we managed ok.
