Disappointed by the campsite, which has everything needed to be much better. Well located. Small pool with a paddling pool, a little cold, but the weather didn’t help. Recent sanitary facilities, but many dishwashing taps were out of order, so the sink could become clogged. Lights off in the showers. Reception couldn’t be reached a few days beforehand to check availability. On arrival, I was quoted one price, then there was a computer failure, so I came back to pay the next day and the price had risen to €100 instead of the €68 quoted for 2 nights, 2 adults and 2 children. No bread delivery. The children’s entertainer was very nice, however.✦Translating

Hello, we had stayed here several times before, when the campsite was busy. We came in mid-June and found it deserted, with no maintenance and no services; the pool was not working. Change of owner, change of price from €11 to €18, change of policy, bought by a large group—and this is the result. A price of €14 to €15 would be more justified. Gilles✦Translating

This campsite is slowly waking up at the start of the season. The pool is out of order, some sanitary facilities are unfinished, and reception hours are minimal (closes at 5 p.m.). A little like the Landes, which seem not to have really started the season.✦Translating

I knew the site from last year and drove here again without hesitation. However, the flat rate for motorhomes has risen sharply from €12 to €18 for the same service. Sanitary facilities okay, but they were not cleaned during my 2 days there. Grey water disposal is fine, and the chemical toilet can be emptied, but rinsing with water is not possible because the tank was empty. Fresh water costs €2.✦Translating

Nobody at reception on a Friday at noon. I called the number shown on the door and was told to come back at 2 p.m. Price quoted: €20. We went back to the motorhome area at €9.50 with the same facilities.✦Translating

12€ for 2 people and a tent with electricity. Large pitch with close access to clean, modern sanitary facilities. Showers were lovely and hot. Reception was closed when we arrived at 1700 but rang a number, she told us where to pitch up and she then came to collect the fee at 1830. Site mostly Campervans and mobile homes. Only one restaurant open in the ‘Boutique Hotel’ which really isn’t!

If you are looking for an aire in the area, off season, you won't find better than this! €12 cash only for 2 people and a cc. EHU, new, clean toilets and showers with hot water. Good sized pitches. Reception closed at the weekend, but a number to call gave us entry. Most things in the area closed but lovely walks/cycle paths by the lake.

Lake contaminated by a bacterium, and reception only warned us once payment had been made. No network, Wi-Fi is paid and does not work. Unheated pool. The shower hot water worked only every other time. We found the bar prices excessive. In conclusion, we did not enjoy our stay.✦Translating

Very nice campsite, within walking distance of the lake and climbing forest (also a good swimming pool). You have to bring your own toilet paper; there are no toilet seats. Very good, clean sanitary facilities. Nice surroundings and excellent pizza at the restaurant/bar.✦Translating

Camping La Forêt Lahitte offers a very attractive package at €14 per night: motorhome, 2 people, electricity and pool. Very quiet and very clean, next to the cycle paths leading to Biscarrosse-Plage; close to the village of Parentis-en-Born for shopping.✦Translating
