Viewpoint parking, road noise, no overnight

signs have gone up along portsdown hill, no camping or overnight parking, not sure how enforceable they are but be careful

Great place to park up while waiting for the ferry(20mins away)...fantastic views out over Portsmouth and the Solent! no facilities and steady road noise but not loud enough to bother you and got really good TV reception which was a bonus!

Extraordinary view of the Solent! Parked our xlwb Iveco here no problem. By a busy road but the view makes up for it, perfect spot whilst waiting for the ferry

Incredibly beautiful view, restaurant next door. When we came back from dinner, some youths were meeting up with their cars. Judging by the tyre marks on the road, it is probably also a popular place for racing around. We didn’t feel comfortable, as a few shady-looking people were also hanging around, so we drove on. In itself, though, it is a beautiful place.

Nice overnight parking for Portsmouth Ferry, 4 miles away. Lovely view and walks. Only one other overnight, van with several cars until sunset. Plenty of spaces. Some road noise but not disturbing. Will use again.

Good stop, excellent views and 4G signal, you can find some flat ground if you look and there's a burger van there for morning/lunch... Busy though! Especially in evenings/nights as a car hang out. We had no problems but mrs a bit upset at the noise. Still enjoyed a stop here!
