15 Rue des Mésanges, 40200, Mimizan
Been here?
Flat residential parking in front of tennis courts with space for long vehicles. No services, no height barrier, and no prohibition signs. However, automatic sprinklers activate at 6:30 a.m. with iron-rich water causing rust stains, and municipal police have visited recently. Otherwise quiet overnight.

Woken by the automatic sprinklers at 6:30 a.m. (iron-rich water that stains everything rusty), then by the municipal police at 8 a.m.Translating
Parking areas along the road, but quiet because it is not heavily traveled. Since it is roadside, there were no bathrooms, and at 6:30 a.m. the sprinklers start watering. One of the few places in Mimizan where you can sleep during the summer season.Translating
Parking area directly next to the tennis courts: level and quiet. Also suitable for long vehicles. Attention: the sprinklers start at 6:30 in the morning. If you park too far into the grass, it becomes unpleasant.Translating
We spent one night there as a backup because the motorhome area was full; rather quiet. Watch out for the automatic sprinklers. No prohibition sign.Translating
Not recommended. At 6:30 a.m. they turn on the sprinklers, which hit all the caravans, so you cannot sleep.Translating
Well-located, flat parking area in a residential neighborhood that seems fairly safe to me. However, watch out and locate the automatic sprinklers so you are not woken at 6:30 a.m.!Translating
Very quiet place at night; we spent the night there without any problems. Ideal as a backup!Translating
Good, quiet place for an overnight stay. There were no facilities. The beach is too far to walk to with a surfboard. By bicycle, it is quick. There was no smell from the factory, perhaps because the wind was favorable.Translating
A fairly good backup solution. It is rather difficult to park in Mimizan. There were only 2 vans. Quite quiet apart from a brief deliberate honk around midnight. No view, bins or water point. Really just a place to sleep in a pinch.Translating
Quiet place to spend the night. Since it was a weekday, it was fairly empty. A very good option when everywhere else is full. We did not camp with the awning out, and neither did anyone nearby. In 5 minutes by car or 30 minutes on foot, you are at the beach.Translating
Used for one night on July 24, 2024. Quiet from 10:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.Translating
We could smell the factory, and the tennis club made a loud humming noise all night, presumably from generators. At another place in this town, we received a ticket and do not understand why. We cannot find the supposed local rules for campers.Translating
Second time using this area. We recommended it to a German couple who were there that same evening. A bin nearby, absolutely zero noise, no factory smell, and no need for leveling blocks. Perfect.Translating
Simple parking area opposite the tennis courts. Depending on the wind, we did not smell the factory. Quiet residential neighborhood close to the forest. Thank you for accepting us; we remain discreet.Translating
Next to the town center, quiet, with only the unpleasant smell of the factory outside. You need to arrive at the last moment so you do not have to stay outside.Translating
A one-night stop could have been peaceful, but a party in the area caused a disturbance until 3 a.m., and the smell from the paper-recycling factory was nauseating.Translating
As described. Quiet place. Perfect for one night. Tennis players arrive from 9 a.m. onward.Translating
We did not arrive at this parking area until around midnight. Before that, we enjoyed the evening at the beach and along the village promenade. The night was quiet, with little traffic, and the factory could neither be heard nor smelled. If people are considerate, spending a night there with a van, without camping, is no problem.Translating
