1 Plaza Primero de Mayo, 02640, Almansa
Been here?
This free stop beside the bus and railway stations offers overnight parking and basic motorhome services. The latest report found a quiet night, although the area can have transport noise. Fresh water and grey-water emptying are available, but black-water emptying is not. The grey-water grate is 20cm and poorly designed, making drainage difficult.

I stopped to sleep for one night and it was very good—quiet, with no noise, despite some comments saying otherwise.
Great for the disposal area, but very poorly built. One space is tiny and the other very large, with a 20 cm grate and slopes in every direction. Impossible to hit the gray-water drain accurately.
Impossible to sleep. From 3 a.m. onward, all kinds of transport passed by: trains, trucks, buses, vans, and cars left running while waiting for passengers—we were only missing airplanes... Anywhere in the world would be better than this for spending the night.
Only gray-water disposal and fresh water. No possibility of emptying black water.
Pathetic and lamentable. There are better nearby parking areas than this one. It only offers gray-water disposal, and because people are so filthy, they dump all their toilet waste, including wipes, into the parking-area drains. Parking here means dealing with everyone else's filth.
Only two disposal spaces. We did not want to spend the night there.
Service area for emptying gray water, not black water. To fill the water tank, you have to open the manhole cover at the base of the post.
At first glance, this is not very attractive. It is at the bus station and also the railway station. During the day, buses and trains pass regularly; they sound their horns because pedestrians have to cross the tracks to change platforms. But in fact, there is no stress—the village is pleasant and quiet. Very quiet at night; we were woken by the bus at 7:45 a.m., which isn't too bad. Thanks to the municipality for this site.
This is not really a motorhome parking area, just two service spaces. It's a shame that, given the available space, they made so little effort.
Very good for spending the night and visiting the castle. Thanks to the municipality. jc26
Very noisy for sleeping because trains pass by and also sound their horns, which gives you quite a scare. The disposal area is difficult to use.
Thanks to the town council for trying, but the area is poorly designed. Hitting the gray-water drain is difficult because the grate is very small. I couldn't find the black-water disposal point.
Better not stop here. It is only suitable for gray-water disposal; there is no black-water disposal. To fill with clean water, there is a ground-level drain cover full of water, so that water must be contaminated. Not suitable for filling any tank.
As a local, it saddens me that the town council does not support this type of tourism. Almansa is a beautiful place with excellent cuisine. I encourage you to stop even though there is no decent service area.
The area is nothing special; it was our second visit. There are two spaces for emptying and filling, NOT for parking. Yesterday we arrived and a motorhome was parked on leveling blocks in the space with the better drainage. How selfish! I think they were French; I left them a handwritten note on the windshield. WE NEED TO BE CONSIDERATE, PLEASE.
A disaster. There is no designated motorhome parking, although there are plenty of nearby car parking spaces that can be used. There are two disastrous disposal points: just a ground grate, with no slope toward it, so everything spreads across the parking area. The water tap is on the ground, and there is no black-water disposal area.
Poorly designed disposal area. There is no suitable place for black water. Dumping black water through the same hole as gray water is disgusting and completely inappropriate. There is a ground-level access cover with pipes for water, and if you don't have the specific fittings, you can't fill up. You cannot even wash your hands or rinse the toilet cassette. This area needs to be redesigned. Don't waste your time here.
I give it two stars for the town council's attention to motorhomes, but it could not be in a worse location, next to the train and bus station. We slept there on a Wednesday, and several trains and buses passed during the night, waking us up. Find somewhere else to sleep. We were able to fill up with water, although the pressure is low.
It's a shame this area is not better in such a great town. Gray-water disposal and water are usable. For sleeping, continue farther ahead to the entrance area of the railway station, although traffic means several trains can be heard during the night. Next time we will look for a better place to sleep.
We could only empty gray water. Two spaces. There is no tap, just a ground cover without a connection. Better find somewhere else.
